I was at Florida National Cemetery on the 8th. Although the marker is there, the area is not yet sodded. In the background you can see more temporary markers. I posted the photos I took. I can keep checking and when the area is sodded, take and post a new picture. Let me know if you want me to do that................. Mike

photo request for Donald Chabot
Regarding your photo request for the headstone of Donald Chabot at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, there is only a temporary marker as of this date. I have posted the photo to his memorial. The next time I am at this cemetery I will check and if there is a permanent marker I will photograph it and post it to his memorial, removing the photo of the temporary marker.

Hi Linda,

Don't turn around! We are amazingly close. We live in Strafford. In the phone book.

Did some research for Obituaries on your Memorial listings and realized how close, geographically, we are.

Did you ever hear of an Edith, Linstrom, Larson. Uncle Ted, on his WWII draft card, lists her as contact person???

Hope Meet,
Franklyn

RE: Stephen Ames
Finding his marker was pure luck. The cemetery it is in likely does not hold his remains as the cemetery is quite new (circa 1950's). But the marker is one made to replace his original headstone which, according to old records, was unreadable. Its original location I do not know. There are many Revolutionary soldiers buried in the area. It is always an honor to recognize them.
