RE: John M Duffy
Pat....Do you have a map of the cemetery? I do. From my recollection he had to have a tombstone because I walked the cemetery grave by grave. From the date of death 1911, he is probably in those back 21 rows where all records were lost in the flood. Let me know if you want me to send you a map. Just e-mail me your address. Peace. Donna

RE: John Hammonds
Hi Pat,

In the message you sent me you stated that Daisy was John's wife.
Daisy was Mckinley's wife and so far I find nothing pointing to John or Mckinley either one having a second marriage. McKinley died 3 years after Daisy and on his death certificate he is listed as a widower.

Daisy's full name was Daisy Rue Watson, her father died sometime between 1908 and 1910. Her mother's maiden name was Ellen Webb. I was not able to find anything on her father. The 1910 census has Daisy and her mother, Ellen, living with Ellen's parents. In that census Ellen is listed as widowed.

In the 1940 census Mckinley is listed as widowed, and Daisy's name appears on the census with his, but a line has been drawn through her name and "this woman is dead" is written across the remaining fields for her entry.

Ellen Webb's parents were Henry L. Webb and Mary E. Tipps. I am emailing all the census records and death certificates I have come across so far on Ancestry.com and Familysearch.org

I will go to the cemetery this weekend and find Daisy's grave.

Please let me know if I can be of any more help.

Have a wonderful week!

Mary Helen

RE: John Hammonds
Hi Pat,

I am not familiar with the Hammond family, I am guessing none of the Hammonds live in the Morton area any longer? I'm not sure what you are wanting to me to do in regards to the Hammonds. I do not manage any of the Hammonds memorials that are located in Morton Memorial Cemetery, those appear to be added by someone based off of death certificates. Weather permitting I will go out to the cemetery this weekend and see if I can locate any of the Hammonds for you and take some photos, It appears that there are photos on their memorials already, but they are only copies of death certificates. I can also have a look on Ancestry.com for John Hammond and his family. If there is something more I can help with, please let me know.
