Retired child welfare worker, lives in Albany, Oregon. Scouting, Optimist and genealogy volunteer, working on my RANSOM & STREBIG lines, and my late wife's DURRETT and NETHERCOTT lines.|
My "project" is tracking down the 1200 or so alumni of my small High School, which closed in 1971. I maintain a website with as much information as I can find on them, at http://IHMAcademy.info , and many of my edits and memorials are related to that project (see my virtual cemetery for IHM).
In my "spare" time [?], I've adopted a local cemetery and work on bringing it up-to-date.

Sorry for the last name glitch. I meant Abigail Parrish Curl, not Ransom. It's been a long weekend and I can hardly wait until it heats up again towards the end of this week. I don't do as well with the hot weather as I used to and these high temps are doing a number on both me and my sister who lives with me. We are splitting the cost of central air which should be installed just after Labor Day weekend, when it will probably cool down!
With All Sincerity,

Thank you for the information regarding Abigail Ransom. Is she related to you? If so, would you like me to transfer her to your care? If so, just do an edit giving your ID# along with the request and I'll take care of it as soon as I find it. Minerva Rebecca Curl (1862-1929) married Edwin Milton Burkhart (1859-1920). Edwin was a son of Raymond Sanderson Burkhart (1817-1888), the elder brother of my great, great grandfather, Leander Columbus Burkhart (1823-1875).
Take Care and Thanks for your work on Find A Grave. [By the way, I was a public assistance worker for Adult & Family Services in both West Portland and SE Portland branches until 1986 when my migraines got out of control. If not for them, I'd be retiring in the next few months.]
With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, Oregon

Hello, I have transferred this memorial to you as you are obviously family. I am only the researcher for this cemetery. I am certain it is in good hands now.
Thank you for your information.
Sincerely, Dorothy Brandner, Eugene Pioneer Cemetery Assoc.

Thanks for the info. Let me know if you find any corrections. I will try to check this out. When I get back to Wrightsville, I will look closer at the stone. The inscription was probably an edit because I usually do not list the transcriptions when I add a stone.
I found the memorial with the photo and downloaded it. Thanks so much, you're awesome.

Wow! Thanks for all the data. I am putting it all in a semblance of order to send to the granddaughter.
