Bert Chaffin
Dear Lorene,
I've completed Bert's memorial, if you'd like to leave a token or just visit. It's Find a Grave #137624852. Thank you, again, for letting me know about his passing. I found his two children who had died in a terrible car accident many years ago and are linking them to their father; I wasn't able to find their mother, his ex-wife, Flora, however, and can only assume she is still living at this time. Take care and God Bless.

RE: Marian Chaffin & Bert
Dear Lorene,
Thanks for the update on Bert. I've tried so often to find him so I could hopefully learn more about the woman I worked with and liked so much back in the early 1980's. Marion was a great person and a great social worker as well, always ready to help clients when she could with a wheelchair, dentures, etc. She also even tried to help me with my terrible smoking habit by giving me her worry beads that she'd gotten when she and Bert had gone to Greece. I still have the beads and quit smoking in February 2007; I think she'd get a kick out of that! She also organized an annual luncheon for retired State employees every year, like clock work. The one year she didn't, I knew something was wrong. After getting on Find A Grave, I found her memorial and felt so very sad that she was gone. I am sure there was a big reunion in Heaven on the 17th as I'm sure Marion was there to greet Bert as he crossed over. If no one has already done a memorial for him, I'd be honored to do one, based upon the info from his obituary. Thank you so very much for advising me of his passing as I also finally know Marion's maiden name and when they married, etc. Take care, Lorene.
