Shirley, thank you so much for uploading photos of my sister in law and her husband in March. I've just realized they were now there, apparently did not receive notification from Find a Grave at the time you posted them. Anyway, thank you so much for your volunteer efforts! They are much appreciated!

Frieda (Oberkonz) Kinzer
Dear Shirley! I have information on some Kinzer relatives, two sisters in their fifties, who have families, are happy and healthy and seeking their relatives for laughter and hugs. You are their relative through Frieda! She was their grandmother. Please search for "Frieda Kinzer" and see the memorial I just created for her. It explains a lot. Would you plese enter your email address in a message back to me through F.A.G.? If you would be so kind as to do so, I will watch carefully for your message and delete it right after I get your email address, so it isn't "out there" on the Internet. I am a member of F.A.G. (obviously!) and a good friend of the two sisters, who both live on the northcoast of CA. Kind regards, Bridey Light, Humboldt County, CA

Hi Shirley,

Agnes was a cousin of my Dad's. I have some other family questions for you. Would you mind communicating with me at

Lorna Gibb
Dear Shirley
I am a writer from the UK, currently working on a proposal for my next book. I'm interested in the Koons family from Millfield Township. They were quite renowned in their time as one of the early spiritualist families of America.
I saw the great photo you'd taken of Pilenia's grave (I think she was one of John Koons, the most famous of the family members, daughters).
Do you live near to there? Sorry my US geography is not great. The closest I've been is Oklahoma where I have a very dear friend. If so I was wondering if you know what other Koons family are buried there. Do you have any photos of the site? Is there still an old homestead beside the family plot? the one I'm interested in would date from the 1850s.
Hope you won't mind my troubling you,
Best wishes

Hazel Bircher
Shirley, would love to learn about the info you have on Hazel. I have about 3 pictures of Hazel, one with her with a small child and with her Mother & Father. Would like to know who her children were and if you have any photos yourself...

RE: Elvira Townsend link
I don't believe Elvira Townsend is related to the Townsend family I married into. (they were from Maine and settled in Scipio Twp., Meigs Co., Ohio). And there is no one in that family named Elvira. There were several unrelated Townsend families in Meigs Co. One of them came to Ohio from Virginia and settled in Columbia Twp., Meigs Co. Soloman Townsend had a son Daniel. but since Elvira's obit doesn't say where Daniel was from, I can't say it's the same family. Of course, they may all be related some way back in England. I just don't know yet.
Thanks for the help! I will keep the info. Maybe some day I can connect it up. Robin

RE: Elvira Townsend link
Please let me know if you get my return message! My internet went down just as I sent it. Sometimes it goes and sometimes it doesn't.

Oscar and Lenora Tinkham
Can you tell me if Oscar and Lenora are buried in The Plains Hocking Cemetery? I'd like to do a memorial. Lenora was my dad's sister.

Thank you,
Loretta (Helsel) Dallman
