I have always been interested in family history. Over the years I collected information, thinking someday I am going to get serious about genealogy that day came when my last child left home for college. I figured it would take a couple of months and then I would be done. Didn't take long to realize this would be a life time project.
Couple of months ago, while hunting for picture in a family trunk I found a box very old obit from 1900-1940 that my husband's great great grandmother had collected, some are family some friends from around Emporia, Kansas. I didn't know what to do with them, so I have been adding them to findagrave. Also when I take volunteer pictures I will take pictures of other graves and add them. If I have taken a picture of your relatives grave or made a memorial, I would be happy to transfer them to you. Any picture I have added to findagrave you are welcome to use.
My husband is from Kansas his family names are Litzenberger, Doebbeling, Jacob, Batch, Ogden, Strube,and Andrews I will often refer to his relatives as mine, I feel like I spend more time with them here on findagrave.
My family names are Brown, Stults, Armstrong, on my father's side. My mother was born in England and so was I, that makes research a little harder, but in England the names are Garnham, Fisher and Clark. | |
