RE: Samuel G. Martin - 1754
Was just wondering if you have come across any documentation for poor old Samuel?

I need to get some letters sent out on him too.
I would just love to get him approved as a Patriot. but I have a feeling the info is just not there since the Scotch-Irish didn't keep
records much. I cam across someone posting an Oral History he drove a wagon in the Revolutionary War - but they couldn't tell me where they found such info - grr!

Keeping fingers crossed.
Hope you had more luck - I feel in my heart he served - even if he paid taxes - with his father In law and surrounding residents.

Did you check the Maryland Revolutionary War rolls? Find what you were looking for?
Dunbar Historical society has a lot on the Martins of Dunbar, Pa, where his grave is located.
They are getting back to me as soon as they can.
