This all wrong ! E.B.ELDRIDGE SR. WAS MARRIED TO ANNIE INGRAM ELDRIDGE 1ST AND HAD 5 KIDS AND THEN MARRIED ANNIE GUTHRIE ELDRIDGE AND HAD 14 KIDS . THE PICTURE HE SPEAKS OF IS NOT ALL KIDS ALOT OF THEM WHERE GRAND KIDS IN THAT PICTURE. AND I DO THINK THIS PICTURE OF MY DADS GRAVE SHOULD BE REMOVED . IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS CALL ME 662-571 1940

I hope that the shock of finding your Father's gravesite on the website is not too great a burden. It was only done in the greatest respect. Billy was my wife's cousin, so I guess you are too. My wife is Melva Eldridge Gillis (she was born in Benton) and a grand-daughter of James A "Jim" Eldridge (1864-1939). Jim Eldridge was the father of Ernest Ben (1897-1967) who was the father of Earnest V (1921-1954) your Daddy's dad. According to my ancestry calculator that would make Billy Sr my wife's 1st cousin once removed.
Ernest B (one of 17 children of Jim Eldridge) had 19 or 20 kids, 13 or 14 children by his first wife and 6 by his second. I have copy of a picture of him and 16 of the children on my Ancestry.com site.
Upon finding the information of your Dad's passing I placed the obituary on this site. Dudley R added the photo last fall. We know its been less than a year and Melva sends you, your sister and your brothers peace and comfort. If you think the site is too much I will check on how to remove it for now. It is never easy, when we placed Melva's Mom, Dad and two sisters it was really hard, but there are many folks too far away to get back home to pay their respect, which, again was all we were trying to do.
I can also transfer this site to you if you wish.
