Bio and Links
Bio Photo I got hooked by the genealogy bug thanks to my mother, whose family has always had a strong tradition of maintaining their family tree. This was not the case with my father's family, and I always wondered about it. Once I began trying to trace his tree I discovered that my grandfather, g-grandfather, and gg-grandfather had all passed on relatively early in life, and their families drifted apart. This was why the families were not able to keep track of their history.

I have spent over 25 years tracking down my paternal line. At times I really started to believe it would not be possible to trace it to the original immigrants. But thanks to sites like Find A Grave and Joyce Tice's I finally managed to trace that far and a bit more.

RE: Alfred Beardslee's marker photo
It was my pleasure to take the photo for you. I hope Alfred was the kind of guy who liked to stand out. There are others like that in the cemetery, but this is the first time I have been asked to photograph one, out of almost 1000.

Best regards,
Wade Davis

RE: Frances A. Beardsley Barney marker photo
I didn't see one for George. Nellie, Frank and Frances are in graves 4, 5 and 6. Richard is in 2 but they don't list a grave location for George.

To be honest, I took the picture back in November and I truly do not remember. Fairview Cemetery is very close to me so I will go back and check.

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help! Also, his wife? Martha is buried next to him in Sp -4.

You're very welcome. Sorry I wasn't able to locate the others (yet). I was on a limited schedule - the sun was not cooperating, either. I also added a couple of other Beardsley & Mandeville's that I saw while there, in case they are a relation.

RE: Mary Stedge Beardsley's marker photo
You are right. I only said that because of how dirty it was. Even if I had one, I wouldn't have used it for the very reason you stated!

I just wish I had a power hose to get the grass off so it could be read better!
