RE: Peter Finger
I used an on-line birth date calculator for Memorial 75016604. If he died on July 24 1859 at 76 years and 13 days, his birth date would be calculated at 11July 1783.

Can't be 1743, since he would have lived to be 116 years old.

Hope I'm helping! I love Find a Grave and appreciate everyone's work.

Daniel Finger
Memorial #75017344. Something is amiss with this memorial, too. Gravestone says died 1858 at 52 years, which would put his birth around 1806.

Also, the bio references a will from Catawba County. I am not sure, but I think there was another Finger family in that county, possibly separate from the one in Lincoln Co.

I wish I could be of more help, but I hope you appreciate my bringing up the issue.

Thank you, Linda Standish

Memorial #75016604 of Peter Finger that you manage. Hello. I am researching members of the Finger family of N.C. I see you have a picture of the gravestone that shows death date and age 76. That would mean he was born about 1783. However, you have a son Daniel with a birth date of 1785. Something is amiss. Thought you might want to look into it. I do not know enough about this family to help, unfortunately.

My interest is in a John Finger who went from NC to Lawrence Co., IN.

Thank you. Linda Standish

David,
Thank-you for the headstone photos of the Gill's.
Don't fell to bad because you didn't know your family was so close. My grandfather was the saxton of the cemetery where my great grandparents and great great grandparents are buried and I just found out a few years ago. With everyone looking for family now and a big help from Find A Grave we are finding family so close that we didn't know. Luck you live close to your family. Mine are in PA, IA, OH, and NE.
