Bohemian National is a very large cemetery with a relatively small percentage photographed; your request is much easier to fulfill if you call the cemetery office (773-539-8442) and get the exact plot information, so a photo volunteer can go right to your family's stones and shoot them.
I'm in the middle of trying to methodically photograph entire sections and make sure they're completely indexed, but at the rate I can work (and 120,000 interments) it's probably going to take me more than a decade. :-)
|PMaher149||RE: John F. Zeger|
I have many relatives that served in the military. Starting in the War of 1812. In WWII, the family lost 6 KIA, 2 repatriated POW's and alot of WIA. One of the KIAs was also a Silver Star and Purple Heart recipient. He and his Heavy Bomber crew where shot down over Tarawa on December 21, 1943. I dont know what you or your family know about John's service but if you want to try NARA I would recommend it but with WWI Army records there might not be much because of a fire that occured there in the 1970s. Let me know if I can be of anymore help.

|Fravanpa||Bortle, Oscar Robin-Photo Request|
When you look to "All names" at the Flanders Field Am. Cem. in Waregem, you will see that the name BORTLE Oscar appears two times, but it is one and the same person (and grave). And there is more : In one case there is a photo of the gravecross with the inscription : OSCAR R. BORTLE PVT. 1 CL. 364 INF. 91 DIV. MINNESOTA OCT. 31. 1918. I think by this you have your requested photo !
