I do not recall if I have written to you in the past or not but I notice your name on many of the Mathern memorials and am curious about your "connection". I am intrigued by the fact that four Matherns' married four Brechts' as the same thing happened with my mothers' siblings (four marrying four from another family). One of those Matherns' was my Great-Great grandmother. Mary Eva married Adam Brecht, and their daughter Marcella married my Great grandfather John Wesley Gettis (which must have been when the Methodist Gettis' became Roman Catholic). John Wesley and Marcella's third daughter as my grandmother Antonetta Rachel. My mother Ellen Mercedes Henle Olsen was her daughter. Mother is still alive at 91 1/2 in a Nursing home back in Tama, Iowa where I grew up. I have really caught the genealogy "bug" and enjoying making connections with "relatives" etc. and doing what I can to connect the dots and put the puzzle pieces together of our ancestors for our descendants. I would love to hear from you. Bob Olsen

My home is in Maryland. Calvert is a County and Cecil is also. This family was in Calvert County, part of which later became Prince George's County.

Thank you for creating this memorial for Thomas Lamar, Jr.

My records indicate that he had a Montgomery County will and I believe that he might be buried there. Leave him where he is for now and I will see what information is available as I have never looked for him since my line is through the son John. I have 9 named children for Thomas and Martha (Blanford) Lamar.

Today, I created a memorial for the mother of Thomas, who was the first wife of Thomas, Sr. Her name was Mary but no surname is mentioned in any records that I have located.

Mary Lamar: Memorial 167014197

Please link Thomas to Mary.

Hope that this helps,

RE: Henry Newton Kennedy
Noticed he was married to Emmazette on his death certificate. Haven't found anything about her either; wonder where there would be more info? Must have married her between 1928 & 1939. Came across Henry Newton Kennedy's interesting bio in the History of Northwest Missouri, vol 3 from a search on his 2nd father-in law, Jacob J Lindsay who was spoke of there. Might mention Emmazette in Henry's Find A Grave bio. Maybe another researcher can help solve. Keep on sleuthing🙂

RE: Cole family & Gage/Kingsbury
Donna: So glad you responded so quickly! Now, for Henry Kingsbury what I have is b. England, 1618 and mrd. Susanna Gage and d. 1 Oct 1687. For James Cole, my records are b. 1 May 1625, mrd. Mary Tibbes. At least one of my sources is: Barnstaple Parish Register of Baptisms, Marriages andBurials, 1538 a.d. to 1812 a.d. She d. aft. 7 March 1659/1660. I have several other sources for James. I descend thru' Moses Cole, several generations down. My Cole/Kingsbury connection is Samuel (1677-1760) mrd. Mary K. (1679-1746), she was the gt. granddaughter of Henry Kingsbury. Does this match up with your information? Would you like my email address?
Beverly (Bev).
