Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy for over 30 years. I also enjoy locating old cemeteries and documenting burials before time and the elements prevent doing so. All of my family lines go back many generations in America with my main interests being in Kentucky, Virginia, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas and New England. My family and I have researched family lines on Steele, Ramsey, Taylor, Grandstaff/Grindstaff, Baker, Bowie/Buoy, High, Collier, McKenney, Prewitt, Peters, Whitehurst, Amis, Wood, Forsythe, Whitaker, Shisler, Dailey, Yardley, Irwin and Needham just to name a portion of our family tree. I am more than happy to share information, find cemeteries or assist in any way I can.

Your Picture of the Headstone for Thomas B Lanahan FAG Memorial # 3302134
Hi Dale,

I would like to use your photograph of the headstone for Thomas B Lanahan (1895-1954), my 2nd great uncle. I would be using the photo in my tree on Ancestry.com and I would of course give you the credit. Thank you in advance!

With kind regards,

Dawn Kogutkiewicz

RE: Thanks
Hello Dale,
You are very welcome for the photos of your family's grave marker. My brother and I visited four major cemeteries in France and Belgium and took Findagrave volunteer photos of over 200 monuments in memory to those soldiers, and in service to their families. They will always be remembered for their service and sacrifice.

Henry Mason Ramsey, Sr.
Hi, Dale!

I believe we are cousins. Your third great-grandfather, Henry Mason Ramsey, Sr., was the brother of my third great-grand uncle, Alexander Camble Ramsey. It was a thrill to see Henry's marker still intact. I live in Georgia but I'm still putting the pieces together on the Ramsey branch of my family tree.

I am so glad you came across the old cemetery! It is a shame so few stones are left. Are the names on Find A Grave? Just wondering if I would recognize any names. Where do you go fishing and what do you go for? I too camp/fish every fall, but I head for Minn. This year, the bass were really hitting. Fun!
