Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing my own family history for some time now and I know how important photos can be. So I am not concerned with "COPYRIGHT" issues with any photos I personally take. Please feel free to use them as you see fit as long as it is for your own personal use. You can post them on to Ancestry or any other genealogical site.

I will not create a memorial of anyone who is not a relative or close personal friend.

If you find you are a relative of mine, or if you knew one of my deceased relatives, feel free to contact me and we can trade information.

RE: Mrs J.T. Wright
Our Wrights started out in Virginia, moved to Laurens,South Carolina and then to Merriwether County Georiga, not too far from Warm Springs area. The originial Wright was George Wright and I am descended from that line...many many George Wrights, but I also have John, Abraham and other Wrights. Tell me a little about your people and perhaps I have them in my tree.

RE: Mrs J.T. Wright
I corrected the date, thanks for letting me know. Are you related to Mrs. Wright? If so, we are cousins.

C D Wright transfer
I've transferred the memorial to you but my internet connection as slowed down to turtle speed and I'm having trouble uploading the other grave photos. I'll try again later tonight or in the morning. They are four rather large photos, about 3.5Meg each.

RE: Waters Cemetery
Sorry, I didn't your earlier message until after I answered your last message. I will ask someone at the Genealogy room in the Hall Co. Library tomorrow about who oversees or takes care of cemeteries. I'll also look for a listing of burials if such a thing exists. I might also find out something when I try and visit the owner of the land that the cemetery is on. I will keep you posted. I hope you make it to the Atlanta area one day and we can plan a visit to the cemetery. Do you use the subscription service available at Ancestry.com? It has helped me quite a bit in my own family genealogy project.

RE: Waters Cemetery
I did create a memorial for C.D. Wright. It is # 118054003. As you can see it is a very rough stone and maybe when I get back over to the cemetery I can get try and determine the date more closely. I think the death date might be buried in the dirt but I am hesitant to do anything to the stone until I see if there is some authority over the cemetery. I have some other photographs of the stone that are of higher resolution. If you want them just give me an email address. By looking at the photo I posted on his memorial it might say "Born 1876 Jan 18" but I am just guessing. You might be correct about it being the Charlie you mentioned.

RE: Waters Cemetery
Rick, I marked the two photo requests for the Waters Cemetery as not being able to locate the grave markers. I plan to visit the long time land owner in a day or two (Margaret L. Mitchell)who lives a couple of houses away from the cemetery to see what she has to say. Monday I will be up in Gainesville and will try to visit the genealogy room in the main Hall County library to see if they have any cemetery information. I'll keep you posted. I'll also try and find out if they have anybody who marks and counts graves and help me to clean up the cemetery this winter when the leaves are down (I only live 1/2 mile from the cemetery).

Waters Cemetery
Rick, I picked up your two photo requests for the Waters Cemetery in Hall County GA and came up empty, but I did see a gravestone for C.D. Wright. If you have a connection please ask me for a transfer and I'll get it over to you. This cemetery is very overgrown. Besides the three gravestones there are about 20 simple field stones to mark where people are buried. I contacted the person who created the two people you requested and if he or she feel there should be engraved stones then I will return and start probing. I'll wait at least a couple of days to see if I hear from the creator of the memorials before reporting the problem on the requests.

RE: Mary Fisher Palmer
Rick, You are welcome. One thing you might want to do is obtain a copy of the last will and testament. It might provide some additional information. If there is anything else I can help with let me know.

Thanks for the correction. No, I'm not related. Would you like to have the memorial?
