|I love history. Cemeteries have always fasinated me. There is so much information in them.|
I am working on finding the roots of my family and my husband's family. My mother's family were early 1900 settlers in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. My Dad's family settled near the Bryan area of Texas. My husband's mother's family settled Jet, Oklahoma. His paternal grandfather made the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. We live on part of his homestead. Our roots are deep in Texas and Oklahoma.

You are welcome! I looked for Dale's headstone but have not come across it yet. I will be glad to snap a picture if I come across it though.

Beverly, thank you so much for your time and effort in helping to document another Oklahoma WWII Veteran. I appreciate your help.

Thanks again Beverley, for both the photo of Thomas Jefferson Almond's marker and the location of his grave as well. I would like to ask for your permission to utilize your excellent photo for my Family Tree on Ancestry.com - but only with your permission. Thanks again and best wishes to you/Kelly

My folks were in the 1893 Land rush around Alva and Hopeton Ok. So I guess I'm not aware of the one you are talking about..thought maybe they were the same.

Sure, I will be glad to transfer him to you.
We are also taking pics and putting them on the Findagrave website. We are meeting this Friday and hope to complete this. I belong to the Lucerne Valley Root Diggers, which is a genealogical organization.
So you should see someone post a headstone pic in the next couple of weeks.
