RE: Elizabeth Goble (Goebel)
I've copied a lot of Dearborn County material, but unfortunately, St Joseph's doesn't appear to be in mystockpile of material. I believe I made my entries based on a book of Dearborn County Cemeteries by Milton Masing. He usually based his info from tombstones.

The Lawrenceburg Public Library has an online searchable database for obits, but I didn't find one for your Elizabeth Goble. There's always the possibility that you could request info from them and some things are done free, others requiring research might be charged.

Check out their online local history & genealogy section - lpld.lib.in.us - and their resident genealogist, Joyce Baer, is a very nice and helpful person.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help to you.

RE: William A. Currey
I removed Alexander as I'm not sure where I picked it up. If you will check, Williams' bio was added and was written while he was alive. What is bothering me is that someone has given him a second wife, a Suzanna Scott. I am trying to get that straightened out.
Thanks for your input, Catie and Will

RE: McKentric Cem
Hi Jim,

I'm feeling better, my thumb still hurts, feels like needles are being shoved into it. The doctor says hopefully it will regain full function but it's too soon tell. It will take several weeks before the ligaments start to heal. Typing is strange because I have to use either my right index finger or left thumb for the space bar and I'm moving a lot slower.

I sure hope that you can find the answers you're seeking in the mysterious case of your ancestor. Please let me know if you find her. Take care and have a beautiful day!

Hi Jim,

A cemetery transcript is a listing compiled of the burials in a cemetery, either by people actually walking the cemetery and making lists of the stones; or if no tombstones, then looking at burial records in the cemetery office. Lists are compiled and of course sometimes there are lots of errors because we are all human. One of the unknowns could very well be Permelia. I did see that her daughter Lucinda Currey, born 11-11-1843 and died 6-20-1898 is buried in the Goar Cemetery in Tipton County, Indiana. I also saw that Permelia died in 1855, it seems to me that you had said 1853, but I might be mistaken. I saw that on Ancestry.com. It said James lived from 1801-1883. I sure wish that I could help you. I might have to be offline for a short time, I fell on Friday and dislocated my thumb, had to go to the ER and get it popped back into place, that was no fun, I can tell you that. Tomorrow I have to go to an orthopedic surgeon to see if I have to have surgery on it. Right now I'm typing very slowly and painfully! So I'll see what the doc says tomorrow. Take care and I sure hope that you can find some answers.

RE: McKentric Cem
I did create some memorials for people buried there whose names were unknown, I think I created about 12. I got all my info from a cemetery transcript. I'm sorry that I can't be of any help. I wish you the best of luck in your research.

RE: McKentric Cem
Hi Jim,

I guess we have our wires crossed or something! I found a McKendrie Cemetery in Franklin County, Indiana. There are 2 Stants buried there, Mary (died 1860) and I think the other one was named William. It says that Mary was the wife of James. But I have no record of me having any info at any time on Permelia Mumford Stant. If I created a memorial for her, there would be a memorial number on it. So can you please write back to me and let me know where you got the info that links me to Permelia. I get all my info for the memorials that I create from cemetery transcripts. A person does not have to have a tombstone to be listed on FindAGrave, this is a burial registry. I am very curious about all of this so please write back and let me know where you saw info that you thought that I entered. I look forward to hearing from you.

Permelia Mumfort Stant
Hi Jim,

Can you tell me her memorial number and what city she is buried in? I'm not finding her in my memorials. Is her name spelled correctly? I get all my information to create the memorials from cemetery transcripts. Please write back to me and I will check further. Have a happy Sunday!
