I went to fill your photo request for James Gilbert in Pine Grove today. I did not find your James, but another James Gilbert & his wife Eunice. I added memorials for them, you may be interested in them too.

Hi Kathy, curious to know you connection to James Gilbert in Pine Grove Cemetery. I saw you had a photo request,which I will get if I ever get up to Waterville. This is a large cemetery so requires the cooperation of the office staff to find graves. I am also looking for his grave, and his wife Hannah B. Jacobs Gilbert. Chris Smith

the only thing that could be read is....Sept 11, 1839Is that the date of isaac birth? Did you get The plot site from the webster rural's web site ?All of the names in that directly were add by one gentleman who took info from head stones,perhaps isaac's name was still on it then.I'm going back there next week i'll try to get more info.
|Cheryl O||Isaac Staats|
Hi, It's been hotter than a teakettle around here. I found Lucretia Staat but not John or Isaac. I will have to call the cemetery and see if there is an actual stone marker. Lucretia's stone say she is the daughter of Mary and Nelson St.John Peet. I took that to mean Mary's maiden name was St. John. Nelson's tomb was there. There was also a son Niram Peet. Nelson Peet's former wife was a Mary Hogoboom. d Jan 26, 1882.
Aged 29 years. Hopefully, I will have more news or pictures soon regarding Isaac vs. John. Cheryl

Mary Jane and Howard Swacker are buried on the other side of Willard. They have FindAGrave memorials (Beckwith Cemetery) too.

Gilbert's is on the weather side, so not unusual, but the stones at this cemetery for the most part, and the overall condition is excellent, considering it really is in the middle of nowhere! Not sure who maintains it, but they do an excellent job.
