|Elaine Goodman||RE: Francis Lightfoot Lee Campbell|
I think I have the name corrected correctly. I don't have any clues of why Francis was buried in Alabama.
|Saratoga||Judge Mitchell King|
Clifford, take a look at this book..Hendersonville & Flat Rock An Intimate tour.
As you can see the writer states that Mitchell was entombed beneath the floor of First Scot church. That makes sense to me as he was waked in Charleston. As you know he died in Flat Rock and to send him back to Flat Rock for burial may not have made sense. I suspect that's where his wife is also buried.

|Saratoga||RE: Correction please|
Hi, I'm very familiar with the King family. Sorry I got some of the information wrong. I'm still looking for the grave of Mitchell King, the beginning of the King's in Charleston. I think he's buried at First Scot's, but proof is non-existant. I also created the memorial's for all the King family buried at St. John's in the Wilderness. The King's were quite the family. If I'm no mistaken Mitchell donated the land that Hendersonville, North Carolina now sits on to the city of Hendersonville. I'm sure you know this, but if not it was called "Little Charleston"
Good luck to you.
