McWhirter "Girl"

Made a mistake with the name of Vera's parent(s). The record did not state George. It was: Daughter of E. & L. but that's it for any further reference to Vera.

McWhirter "Girl"

In two walk-throughs of Park (section) "D" of Woodlawn Cemetery, did not find a marker for "Girl" or an "Infant" McWhirter. The records have a "Girl" but no burial or marker location. The record states "Stillborn" so I have no idea where she might have been laid to rest. Perhaps if an obituary from after 28March1917 could be found? The only McWhirter stone in Park "D" was for Alpha and Mable. Have a photo if you are interested. Records show Alpha born 1886, died 8May1976, Aged 89. Mable born 1905, died 14Nov1991. There is one more McWhirter in records, Vera, daughter of George, died 16Aug1915 at age 1 day. She is supposed to be in Park E-2 but haven't gotten that far yet. There is no record of a George McWhirter buried in Woodlawn.

Thank you for checking at the cemetery for this man. According to his death certificate, that's where he was buried. I'll check with the cemetery to see if he's listed there under a alternate spelling.

RE: photos for Gromley family
You are very welcome. There were three more Gormley relatives in that plot. I have added their headstone pictures.

Rhonda, thank you for taking the time to look and see if this grave was marked. I'm saddened to learn that it is not. However, I appreciate your efforts. God bless!!

RE: Willie Virgil Clark, Find A Grave Memorial# 89676693
My intention was to return to the cemetery and look again for this stone but that's not possible at this time. It was confirmed this morning that my husband who is 64 has cancer. I hope you understand this has to become top priority and will consume a lot of our time for a while. I am sorry I can't fulfill this request at this time. I do hope you understand.

I'll take another look as soon as I can. I'd go back out there this week but my husband just had a biopsy, they think it might be cancer, Friday we go back and hear the results. I may be able to get out there next thursday depending on the results from the Dr, With my heath I don't drive anymore so I must wait on my husband, he enjoys helping others by taking these photo's.

I'll go back next week and look in that area again. Did they say if he has a stone that is readable because I didn't see it but at my age and being worried about my husband's biopsy results I could have missed it.
