I became interested in genealogy after hearing amazing stories about my family's past from some of my oldest relatives in the family. The great migration west, fights and friendships with settlers and indians, stories about the great depression and on and on. It has been a great experience to discover previously unknown relatives and photos of family members to match the stories passed down in our family. Many ancestors I have found were never known by my own extended family. It is the discovery of new family members that drives my passion for genealogy.|

Hi Jason, I see in the memorial for Elizabeth Watts Hubbard (my 9th ggm) that you have added a photo of a plaque that reads, "In honor of the courageous and unselfish women who settled this town their descendants and successors dedicate this monument on the 350th anniversary of the settlement".
Can you tell where this monument is located?
Thanks in advance, Karen
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

I am visiting relatives near Redding. If you can call and get plot numbers, I may be able to get the photo(s) requested. If not this week, I will be back again in mid July.

No, you can keep him ;) His mother Muriel was a step cousin of my grandmother.

Hi, I see you are managing the memorial for Joseph Abel Wilson. Are you related? I am a Hutchison descendant.

Hi Jason, Fairlawn Cemetery is maintained by the City of Snyder. We have visited with Krystal Lancaster who is the Cemetery Sexton for the city. She provided us with a map of Fairlawn; not a detailed burial map, just a map. She did advise that there are numerous unmarked graves in Fairlawn. The office number for the Snyder City office is 580 569-2119.

Jason, I got with the cemetery office, got a map, and even went back out several times, looking in locations either side of the proposed location. They told me who was buried on either side of her and in front of her and I can only find a faint hint in the grass of a newer grave. I am going back to ask them to go with me for another set of eyes. He was very surprised that she had no headstone also, but says some people are running slow. Will keep you updated

No problem. Happy to assist. Sandy

I am sorry to tell you there is not a marker for Thomas. However, next to Thomas' grave is a marker for W.J. Salyer. I will post that pic if there is a memorial in Find A Grave. If not, if you want to create the memorial, I would be glad to post the pic.
