Thank you for helping us with this ongoing project. Because many who served have no indication of the service on their graves, we depend on word of mouth to identify them.
We will add him to our list to get a flag for Memorial Day.
Please feel free to let others know about our project so we may honor all that have served with a flag.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

Hi Mark -
I am glad to have helped - I did check and there were no other Cross graves in the vicinity.

|F C Gibbar Amschler||Simon Duvall.|
According to the Mount Hope book done by the Perry County Historical Society - his death was Feb 26 1865 not 1965. I have not found the stone yet, but will continue looking. Since it is this old, it may not be there any longer. Lots of very old stone are gone.
There is another Simon Duvall son of Jas. R. & Mary M. b: 20 Jun 1861 d:22 Jul 1862.
The book shows both person being burried in the very old section of the cemetery and this is where there a lots of stone gone. Ice strom in 1978 that took down lots of big cedar trees that took the stones down. I will continue to look for the stone.

You're very welcome. It's my pleasure to help. There were no other Bradshaw headstones there. You will need to contact Crippin Funeral Home to find out if there are other family members buried there.
Soli Deo Gloria

I was just pasting info that I found on the Personal History book to the appropriate memorials. I had hoped perhaps the extra info would help someone out with their family research.
Here is the link for the Genealogical and Personal History of the Allegheny Valley... if you search through it you will see the other 'Cross' family history...Samuel, William, Samuel, Wilson, John Floyd, there actually seems to be quite a bit written on the Cross family compared to some other families mentioned in this book.
The search box is on the left hand side of the page. I hope it helps you find more info!

I see that there are 15 people buried in Harmony Cemetery with the surname of Cross
but I am sorry to say we (my sister and I) just
transcribed the whole cemetery and I do not
know how they are related. I re-looked at his memorial and I saw that someone added a short
bio for Samuel. If you click on her name maybe
she can give you more info than we can or tell you how she got the info.
Good luck in your search.
PS If you find that Samuel or any other Cross is indeed related contact me again and I will be glad to transfer their memorial to you
