I took the photo today. Sorry it isn't better...the stone has deteriorated quite a bit. I cleaned it up and got the grass and moss off, but it didn't help much. Hope it helps.

Photo Request at Ridgewood
Although it's still cold outside, winter seems to finally be losing it's grip. We'll soon be able to start taking photos. Please update this request with the burial plot location. Call office on 847-824-4145 and repost request with that additional information.

RE: Johnson Jack A.

All the information I have on Jack Johnson is on his memorial. I assume if he died in Beligum, he was buried there unless his body was later removed and shipped back to American to rest in a National Veterns Cemetery somewhere.

I recent had a solider in Slater City Cemetery who was listed on his parents tombstone but died as a solider in France. With some research I learned his body was shipped back from France and now rests in a National Verterns Cemetery on the west coast.

I'm assuming that Jack's tombstone in Oak Grove is memorial marker the family placed there to honor him. If he is acutually buried in Oak Grove, you will have to get in touch with the persons who handles the cemetery records. I can't help you there, because I don't know who handles the records.

RE: WWII veterans
None of those numbers listed of those 3 soldiers are actually those soldiers?
