We are doing family trees on my family and my husband's family. It has been very hard locating family members because some family members do not want to give information to any one. And the ones that have died may have had some info on the family. But we will keep searching and hopefully get the answers that we are looking for. We live in Virginia, and have family in North and South Carolina as well as Virginia. A lot of the family thinks it is a waste of time. My husband and I do not think so. We both are very interested in finding out where we all came from. If people only knew how lucky they are these days compared to the old days. I think that our deceased family members should be remembered, and not forgotten. We are all God's children. We are looking for Hall, Justice, Wade, and Womack family members. You can contact us if you think you may have some info to share. If you see anything that is wrong on any of the memorials, please let us know and we will make any changes that need to be made. We will transfer memorials as long as they are not family members. Mistakes are made sometimes, so if you see a mistake or duplicate memorials let us know. Everybody makes a mistake once in a while, nobody's perfect! Memorials transferred - 67.
Looking for Purvis Cemetery in Robeson, North Carolina. Some one said the cemetery is under a different name. We have family members buried there, but can not find the cemetery. If any one knows where this cemetery is, or the name of the cemetery please let us know. We would like to get some photos in this cemetery if possible. Thank you.

RE: Norton Holbrook
I was hoping you were related to the Holbrook's. I read your bio where you said you were having trouble getting some of your family to help you. I don't know much about the Holbrook's, I tracked Artie to living with Alexander Holbrook in 1910, he was born about 1829 in Georgia but he married a girl from SC before 1850 & seemed to have lived in Oconee Co & Pickens, SC before he moved to Macon Co., NC in the late 1870's. There were other Holbrook's in Macon Co when he moved there, & he had a big family, they may have been related.

Larkin's father was listed as William Alexander Holbrook, I was hoping he was the same man that Artie married. If he was, Alexander was living with 2 wives at the same time. I'm not sure what kind of person Artie was, but she seemed to be involved with different men during her lifetime, I know she had children by at least 3 men starting as a teen. I know she married one in 1880, but I think he was already married, too, or married someone else soon after. Artie may have been the kind of gullible woman that men take advantage of.

If you know of anyone who would know anything about the Holbrook family, specifically Alexander Holbrook born about 1829 in GA & died after 1910, please let me know. So far, it's been hard to track Artie.

Norton Holbrook
I am researching the Holbrooks, one of my ancestor's sisters married an Alexander Holbrook, or may not have married him but seemed to have been with him around 1910. Artie's not buried with him, he died much earlier & was about 30 yrs older than her. They have a son listed on the 1910 census as "Norman", but I think it's supposed to be Norton Holbrook. I want to know more about them & I noticed you have put a memorial online for Norton. Are you interested in conversing? I would love to know as much as possible about Alexander "Alix" and Norman/Norton & anything you can tell me. I am working with a distant cousin who is descended from Artie.

RE: Silas Peedin Cemetery
The cemetery that those headstones are in according to our County genealogy Society are is named the Silas Ruffin Peedin Cemetery which is actually located within the city limits of Pinelevel and not where Find A Grave directions say it is. If you are the manager of that memorial I can send GPS coordinates

RE: Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery
I posted a better photo than that first one of Elmer William Brown. I was looking at it and didn't realize it was shaded so I did it over. Just an fyi!

You are more than welcome. It was my pleasure. I wish I could have removed the dirt that is covering the corner of his memorial stone, but I didn't have any tools with me.

RE: Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery

My pleasure, Cheryl. This is such a huge cemetery that folks who look for this gravesite can narrow it down a bit.

All the best,
