Patricia, the memorial you did for JKP Wilkins is amazing. Thanks for your efforts. His father Jonathan is my 3x g-grandfather. I'm wondering if you know of additional info sources on Jonathan and family, or of descendants that may have information. Thanks! Jack Davis

RE: Elizabeth Sanderson and Drury Thrift
Hi Patricia, Thanks for your reply. It would be interesting if more of Elizabeth Sanderson's descendants had their DNA tested through Ancestry DNA. We could connect on Ancestry.com. Possibly other descendants would have the Native American DNA in their results. The closer the descendant to her, the more of her DNA would likely be inherited. My 82 year old dad is her 3rd great grandson. Both of his grandfathers were Elizabeth's descendants giving him twice the odds of inheriting her DNA. His DNA revealed that he is 94% Great Britain, with no Native American DNA. Having said this, I must admit that we, too, have had the idea passed down though our line that Millie Thrift (Elizabeth's daughter and our ancestor) was Native American. Do you know if any of her direct descendants have had their DNA tested? I would truly like to explore this further. Let's continue this conversation. I welcome all responses.

Elizabeth Sanderson and Drury Thrift
Hi Patricia,
Elizabeth Sanderson and Andrew "Drury" Thrift were my 4th great grandparents. I have researched this family for a number of years including traveling to Wilson and Sumner Counties to research in their respective Archives. I believe that Wade Sanderson was the brother of Elizabeth Sanderson, not the foster father. He did leave assets to the children of Elizabeth Sanderson including Millie Thrift, my 3rd great grandmother. I've not located any record of Wade Sanderson having his own biological children. Both Wade Sanderson and Elizabeth Sanderson were the children of William Sanderson and Millie Wade. Also, I'm not aware that Elizabeth Sanderson was of Native American descent. Several descendants have participated in Ancestry DNA including my father, myself, and a first cousin of my father. No Native American DNA was reported in any test results. Please respond to this email. I am a member of Find-A-Grave and would welcome your feedback.

Looking for location of the bible in 2015. Also, there was a book supposed to be written by Stephanie Wolfley-Mitchell who was his descendant.

DAR has closed the once accepted application for Maria Eva. I am wanting to get her reinstated.

I am a descendant of Adam thru his son Christian who moved to Greene Co. TN.

Battle of Flodden
Hi,

I saw that you have lot of info on the Gerard family dating back all the way to the late middle ages. With sir Thomas Gerard who supposedly died in 1523, it is mentioned that he died at the battle of Flodden in Northumberland in november of 1523. However, the actually battle of flodden took place in 1513, in September 10 years earlier. I am greatful for your research/information, but I think something isn't right.

RE: John Elson French
I received an email from someone overseeing
McGraw Cemetery and I was told the Plat Records
Book for this cemetery has never been located,
or that it was kept in a shed on the grounds,
and the shed burned down with the records book.

Posting this for others information.
