Been researching my Golias family for 10 years. I can hunt in the Cleveland area in Calvary and Holy Cross. It would be helpful if you can send me the Section and Lot number in advance since I have lots of Section/Lot maps from these 2 Catholic Cemeteries.

I had a little trouble getting started but when I talked to a particular girl on their help line - she taught me a great way to access the obits, which is what I am most interested in.

RE: Rose & Joseph pics Leskovec
Hi Barb, I'd love to say I would but with 24,000 memorials to manage, this particular name could get lost in the shuffle.

Just reading Joseph's obit, I found his daughter and her husband:

Name: Bechhold, Myran J.
Date: Aug 14 1973
Source: Cleveland Press, Reel #92
Notes: Bechhold. Myran J. Bechold, beloved husband of Marie (nee Leskovec), father of Bernice Massey, and Myran, grandfather of five, brother of Elmer, the late George and Ethel, Passed away Saturday, Aug. 11. Services at the Busch Funeral Home, 4334 Pearl Rd., Wednesday, August 15, at 10:30 A.M., where friends may call From 2-5 And 7-9 P.M. Tuesday.

Title: Bechhold, Marie S: Wife Of Late Myron J-obit
Date: 2003-04-19 Plain Dealer B 6

If you type in Bechhold in and page down do will find them listed and the cemeteries that they are in.

These 2 Cleveland resources are wonderful!

You're probably aware of

I pay monthly for which is also a wonderful tool. is free as long as you have a County Library card #. Contact me if you need any help.

Title: Nickens, Edward P : Husband Of Josephine (obit.).
Date: 1993-09-28 Plain Dealer E 8

Title: Nickens, Josephine: Wife Of Late Edward-obit
Date: 2010-12-31 Plain Dealer B 6

Both in All Saints Cemetery. I just sent an edit to link Josephine to her parents.

Good luck!

RE: John Kopcak stone photo
I covered her side of the stone. Find a grave does not want people dates up there if they are not deceased. Due to fraud issue.

People put them up but I try not to.

Calvary Cemetery - It's SO NICE of you to clean up. It must be a "big" cemetery. I grew up in Painesville -Mentor area -now live in Richmond, VA.

RE: Martin J. Golias
Hi Barb: You asked RE: Martin J. Golias Calvary Cleveland, "Hi Mary, How do you know my grampa Martin J. Golias"? I don't know him- I'm not related. I transferred his memorial to you so you can add or correct. Good luck! Sincerely, Mary K.

RE: Thank you for Dorothy Ogurchock
You can get them at the downtown library or if you have a library card in Cols. you can sign onto the website under contact us at the top and then choose "request an obituary" to get them by email. The only thing is the downtown library is closed for remodeling right now, so you can't do that right now. The other option is at the Ohio Historical society.donna
