| Bio and Links | | HI, I'm James H. Rigsby, My father is Marvin Hudson Rigsby JR.(Deceased), My mother is Mary B. Henry living in Jesup, GA and I have two brothers William Michael Daniel living in Jesup, GA and Marvin (Butch) Hudson Rigsby III (Deceased). I was born in Wurzburgh, Germany due to my father serving in the military something I am very proud of. I was raised in Waycross, GA and attended Ware County High. I worked in Electrical Construction about 5 years before moving to Valdosta, GA to work for the GA Dept of corrections at Valdosta State Prison in 1988. Where I met my loving wife Mrs Vanda Marie Dixon Rigsby. She has one son Jonathan Lee Fender who was 4 when I met her now 27. I love them both dearly. He calls me Dad and I am humbled by that and he has also given me My first grandchild Addison who will be 2 in Febuary. I left Valdosta State Prison in 1998 to take a job as a conductor with CSX Transportation and in 2001 was promoted to Locomotive Engineer. In 2007 I was elected as President and Legislative Reperesentative of Division 706 of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen in Fitzgerald, GA. In 2008 I was elected First vice-Chairman of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engeneers and Trainmen Georgia State Legislative Board and in August, 2009 I became the Chairman when The Chairman Retired.I currently work between Fitzgerald, GA and Jacksonville FL as an engineer for CSXT and also Represent approximatly 1000 BLET members in the State of Georgia over seeing safety standards, Federal Regulations and fighting for our members in the Georgia General Assembly. | |
