I transferred your ancestor, I hesitated because I am also related to the Gillifillan family. By way of James Gilfillan Green, he was named for his mothers maiden name buried in Kossuth co. Iowa. Anyway small world.

Hello. Transfer is complete. I do believe that he is a relation, but not in the direct line that we thought. Our James Harding was born in Virginia in 1810, died sometime after 1852. He would be my husband's ggg grandfather, through his son Andrew J Harden (name change), who came to Illinois in the 1860's. Thank you !

I only transcribed the data from the Painted Hills Genealogy records which did not list maiden name. However, it was probably sent to me by Chris Hobson who has been adding the gravestone photos. I would sent a message and ask him. (click on his name under the picture).
I do not know where he died.

I'm glad you found your ggg granduncle and have transferred Samuel to your care. Who was the Sarah who is also listed on Samuel's tombstone? Is that his mother?

I thought they were my ancestors, but havnt found the connection, maybe a distant cousin on my GGG-grandmothers tree, thru James Gillfillan Green

Thank you for the kind words. I have no relationship to them and have transferred them. I am happy they have found family.
