I would love to share all information that I have! I have a huge tree,and Thank You to the many who have been working on "Our Famlies History", so that we all can share and Pass the info on,You are all "Truly Awesome"(we can never Thank You enough you are gifting us all with our families history) I am doing everything I can to reach out and share all the incredible info,that so many of us have worked very hard to preserve,"Our Families History" for not just one person can be credited there are many prople who have spent countless hours digging,searching and sharing.Also I feel we all should share info and photos,isn't that why we are on these sites??? ,these are our family members,I greatly appreciate those who do research and take photos, so as long as you do not publish(as in a book or magazine) without contacting me first, please feel free to enjoy and use my photos,,I actually feel Honored that anyone would want my info and photos, also please contact me if you too are researching any of my surnames,remember the more we put out there and share, the more info we get,and the more people get to know each and every one of our ancestors,I think they would be proud to be known and remembered Thank You Dawn

Sorry I have no more info than what is on the memorials. It is taken either from the tombstone inscription or interment records from the local library.

Horace V Truitt and Anna Elizabeth Doerfler.

HV was born 31 Mar 1870 in New Bethlehem PA. He is in Coraopolis Cemetery, Pittsburgh area. He died 8 Aug 1951.

Willard was born in Willard, Ohio. HV worked for the YMCA in Willard and was transferred to Meigs County in 1912.

HV liked cats and liked to listen to music on the radio. In 1920 he had a service station in Huntington, West Virginia. In 1930 He was farming in Arona, PA, nicknamed Roy. In the 1940s they owned a boarding house on Stockton Ave on the North Side, Pittsburgh.

HV and Lizzie had a daughter Lula Mae in Willard who lived for only two months. Then Harley, then Bill. Lizzie was a German,she moved to the US as a small girl. She and HV celebrated their anniversay on Father's Day in 1946. She was born July 1873 and died in March 1957.

Hello. Yes, John Barnes Truitt's father was Andrew Truitt. He was from down state somewhere. I don't have alot of info on him. The story we have is that Andrew came to New Castle County and married (who would become) my great grandmother. He had a boy and possibly 2 girls from a previous marriage. One of the girls name is possibly Emma. The story that we have is that one of the daughters was killed when a sign, maybe from a storefront, fell on her. I am interested in seeing your family tree, and if Andrew and John fit in somewhere. I will look in my files to see if I have anything else on Andrew. I have a lot of info on John and their family. He still has descendants living in the New Castle area.
