*******************************************************
I was born in the Midwest, but have lived most of my life in the south. I was stationed in Germany for a time, and have otherwise done a little travel to Europe and Asia. I spend far too much time on the computer, enjoy a good frappuccino, and I ♥LOVE♥ cats.

My primary family names are Sullivan, McCoy, Withee, Fredendall, Washburn, Nesbit, Schmidt, Petersen, Meyer (Meier), Markman, Pease, Millikan, Donnan, and still counting.

I view the memorials on this site as living tributes to our loved ones. I strive to "reunite" them with family, and if I am able, to add a personal detail or two about them.

Photos

You are welcome to use any photos which I have uploaded for your personal family research work, but please do not use them for commercial purposes. The photos I upload are intended as gifts for the families of the deceased with no regard for personal profit, with the exception of the honor of providing them, and I wish for this to be respected.

Photo Allotments

We are allotted 20 photo requests per week. I am requesting for everyone to please use your allotment. Memorials you manage, memorials I manage ~ it doesn't matter.

Headstone photos may assist in providing confirmation of birth and death details, marriage dates, children, spellings, and might even lead to the discovery of additional family members.

Requests fulfillments also provide a small reward to our volunteers who often drive several miles to obtain a photo. I have so often seen where someone will request a photo, and then ask for the volunteer to take a photo of their spouse too, without submitting the request for the additional photo. Why?

It's much easier to request 20 photos in a cemetery that it is for the volunteer to drive out, take them, edit them, caption them, and post them. While I do try to get other family near the one requested in case they are not already listed, it is nice if you also request them, so please take the time to request them and please try to remember to use your weekly allotment.

Suggestions, Corrections, and Transfers

I generally adhere to Find A Grave transfer request guidelines, but before requesting, please keep in mind that even a "starter" memorial involves effort to create and I am more than willing to accomplish edits. Also, if a transfer or edit request comes off as pushy, arrogant, demanding, or rude, do not be surprised if you are ignored.

This site was created as a means of helping others, and not intended as a means to criticize, harass, bully or badger. Be kind to your fellow volunteers as we are all trying to achieve the same goal of helping others.

Arthur Lyon memorial
I sent extra information as to why I declined the edit when I declined it - I am sorry that Findagrave did not include it. the edit you sent was that Arthur was not the husband of Betsey Elonie Marsh Lyon. Their marriage was documented in Hall county, Nebraska and they were married and reported to be married at the time of her death according to her obit. I have located and added both Arthur and Betsey's obits to their memorials. It appears that Arthur remarried after his first wife's death, but his obit does not name her or any other family members. In the second message you sent concerning his place of birth, the obit does not agree with your information and names Ohio as his place of birth. I can double check and see if the successor of the funeral home at the time of his death lists this information as it would have been reported for his death certificate.

Claar memorials
I think you may have recently sent me some edit requests for several members of this family. Somehow, they inadvertently got deleted by mistake. If you did send, would mind resending them and I shall comply soon. Thank you.

Can you tell me where the drawing or photo of Catherine originated? I know there was a picture or chariction of her on the tomb stone....but in the picture you have it looks like it came from a book or spryel note book.

Very interested in knowing. She was the sister of my great grandmother.

RE: Lydia
I accepted the changes for Lydia. Could you check and see if it is correct now? I think your note was saying that this info corrected inaccurate info you had sent me previously (no worries about that, it happens!) If you were asking me NOT to ok this set of changes, let me know and we can get it set right. Thank you so much for your updates on my memorials. I so love seeing them connected back to real families. :-)

RE: Susan Pease Young
Yes, apparently they had hanky-panky in the old days--they weren't all saints! I saw the divorce record on Ancestry.com.
Re Joseph Frederic, you are on the right track. The Lydia who married Lovell Withee was Joseph's granddaughter, (Lydia/Joseph Jr/Joseph Sr.-born 1748, a Revolutionary soldier.) My interest in the Pease name is because Joseph's wife was Jerusha Pease. The family migrated from Martha's Vineyard to Starks in the late 1700's. I've been studying that family for years and years. I did Ancestry DNA and that helped prove the link.
Best wishes,
JJ

Susan Pease Young
Hi Sheila,
Re your questions on the Winding Hill Road Cemetery--the reason I think Naomi B. Pease was the first wife of Ambrose, was she is listed in the 1850 census with him, but Maine Divorce Records lists a Divorce Record for Ambrose Pease and Naomi B. Pease in Somerset County, March 1861. Then he married Susan Young April 2, 1861, according to you, and they had a daughter, Betsey, Sep. 1861.
I didn't mean to duplicate Susan Young, didn't notice she was in there as Pease. I think the usual way is to list their last name as the name they had when they died, and the MOCA listing says, " Young, Susan, wife of William Young, formerly wife of Ambrose Pease, d. Aug. 19, 1882 AEt. 54 years." They are listed in the 1880 Census in Starks (very faintly), and Wm was 82, she was 53, so he was probably buried w/first wife. I can delete my Susan Young, let me look again and get back to you on that.
Best wishes,
J (I am a Joseph Frederic descendant)
