I found this site when I was doing research on my family. What a pleasant surprise when I saw all the work that had been done by others volunteering their time and energy for such a cause.
I have since started enjoying genealogy work and gathering my family roots. When I have time, I also post from various newspaper obits. It is so nice to receive emails from surprised family members who have found their loved ones listed on Find A Grave. Our loved ones are gone, but their memories live on. With this in mind, what we do in life is a lasting memory.
God bless you and those who have gone before us... every person does count...! I am hoping that my little contribution to this cause can make a difference for you and your family.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for taking the time to do what you do. I came across this site after trying to locate some information on his death. He lived in Canton, GA at the time of his death and I live in Santa Paula, CA. Trying to locate anything other than his obituary was hard to do at best. When I came across the beautiful and amazing memorial page that you had set up for him I was brought to tears. I have often been thinking that we live in such a selfish world these days but what you did told me that was not true! You also inspired me to join Find A Grave and I am now finding joy in taking pictures for others that request them. Would like to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart..These are my parents. I didn't know this sight even existed till just a few days ago. I am doing research on my family and found this sight off of another sight I was using. A family tree is hard to do when u have little to go on but I have managed with what information I had gatherd from my parents over the years. But this is wonderfull, thank you so much.
