Bio Photo WHITE TANKS: I have made White Tanks Cemetery a personal project. This is a County Cemetery where the indigent are burried. I believe they should be remembered. I have recieved many msgs from relatives who have been looking for their loved ones. I hope my efforts brings your loved ones home to you. I would like to acknowledge Alexandra Montgomery for many of the pictures of the grave markers, researched the DOB, and links. Diana Coles Haselmyer who has taken a lot of the pictures and created many other memorials here.
(DISCREPENCY ON MARKERS) SOME MARKERS HAVE THE CORRECT DOD, SOME HAVE THE DATE OF BURIAL, AND SOME NOW HAVE ONLY THE DATE OF BIRTH ON THE MARKERS. The county was contacted they are now putting DOB on the markers and no DOD because of the discrepencies.

Lives are commemorated deaths are recorded -
families are reunited memories are made tangible and life is undisguised.
This is a cemetery.

Communities accord respect, families bestow
reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby

Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life not death
of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining
source of comfort to the living.

A cemetery is a history of people a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.

Happy to make the transfer. If there are any other relatives in the Star Cemetery, let me know and I will transfer them to you. I have few relationships with people buried in this cemetery. I only created the memorials so that people searching relatives could find their final resting place.

Joseph Glinn
Thanks so much for your note & info on parents of Joseph Glinn. I have processed your "edit" linking Joseph to his mother. I have also added a note identifying his correct parents. I believe there are alot more Glinns buried in the cemetery Joseph is at.
Unfortunately, there is only one tombstone placed for his CSA service. Thank goodness for that. I am now looking for Herbert Glinn, son of Joseph & Annie. Richard.

Winfield Scott Deal
I'm Deal Bowman, the son of Fern Bowman and grandson of Ira Deal. I used to discussed my mom's(Fern Deal)geneology studies with her and helped with the digitization until her death in 2007. I have since inherited her files. When she died she was trying to prove a link between Eli Deal and his supposed sister Mary Deal(Zenor). My mother seemed to think that even though There were geneology lists on the web that showed the relationship, that nobody had proved it.

From your additions to the website I assume that you are related to Winfield Scott Deal.

I'd appreciate any information that you have.
