thank you so much
Dear Peter,

I was not able to travel to California when my brother passed away. This means so much to me. My mother will be so happy to know we were able to get a photo. I called her earlier tonight and she was thrilled when she heard we might be able to get a photo.

Thank You,
Karen

RE: Anne Doan
Hi Pete!

I know how disappointing it is to find out the cemetery does not have a record of burial for Anne Doan; this has happened several times before. Rob Minter, who had created this memorial enters memorials from all type of sources found through various medias, but doesn't track the source he takes the information from.

I work very closely with the family who owns this cemetery and can attest that their records are the best in the area. My contact personally went through all their old books, including the most recent records and did not find Anne's name. I will ask her to look for the spelling "Doane" for you.

Charles grave was marked only with that small iron marker provided by whomever prepared his body for burial. The markers stake had rusted out over the years, and I had by chance found it among some fallen leaves, and placed it on his gravesite. Also notified the cemetery that it was not secure and perhaps someone could secure it rather than leave it lay.

Will get back to you this coming week if I'm not able to locate her by then. Do you have any other names she may have been buried under ... was her maiden name "Doane"?? Keep your fingers crossed ...
