Apple's Chapel has been my home church all my life except for about 10 years while living in other locations. I am a retired nurse and serve as historian of Apple's Chapel. Welcome one and all to join us for worship.

I started adding memorials from a listing of the cemetery compiled by Norma Gordon. This list is the results of a survey of the cemetery and includes all readable headstones prior to 1982. Any errors will be corrected upon request.
I have reviewed records of funerals in church office from 1987 to current. Also I have been through the cemetery making pictures of head/foot stones. Many markers are unreadable or missing.

References: The Browns of Apple's Chapel by Norma Brown Gordon, 1993; Apple Genealogy--A Genealogical Register of Apple Families Originating in North Carolina by Stephen W. Apple and Karen Booth Apple, 1992; and families of the church. Also funeral records in the church office. The Zimmerman Family History including--Pritchett/Busick/Zimmerman/Huffines/Chrismon. I have started using www.familysearch.org .

William Lowman Puckett
Thank you for taking a picture of Will Puckett's tombstone. I've also been able to connect him to his wife, and one of his twin sons. The other twin was someone else's entry, but I've sent a message to them to get him connected to his parents also.

It is possible to get a picture of the church and cemetery on there also--but it takes a day or so for Find A Grave to get it done.

Thank you for telling me since it got me to look up more information.
