RE: HALE/WHORTON grave
There is an article about them in The Heritage of Cherokee County. It does not give death or place of burial, but does say he was one of 1st deacons at Frienship and that he served 1837-1856.

I will see what I can come up on those graves for you. Maybe we will be able to compare notes on the Hales.

RE: HALE/WHORTON grave
It will not be any trouble. Martin & Jestain are my ggg grandparents and the cemetery is not far from my house. Actually, you have been a help to me. Martha's sister Eliza is my line and I have started on her brothers and sisters. I just find it easier to trace the males. Thanks to you, it will be easier for me now that you have given me Martha's married name.
Thanks,
Sarah

I am not sure-- have not been to cemetery yet. I got name and dates from a book I have. I will create a memorial for her and try to get by the cemetery this afternoon or tomorrow.
