Thanks for the note about Harry Streck not being in the Lutheran cemetery's records. Everything I have says he his buried there (death cert, and family bible). He was only about a year old so I'm not sure what happened. This is also the only Lutheran cemetery that is in Cuyahoga County that is on Find-a-grave.
|Charles Kundtz||Emma Luekens - Lutheran|
Al, thanks for your note about Lutheran Cemetery not having a record of Emma Luekens. I have had some problems with their records in the past, so I am hopeful that I might find a marker.
According to Cleveland's Monroe Cemetery interment records, Emma was transferred to Lutheran on 3-1-1912. Being just 3 years old, there may not have been a marker purchased? Who knows!
Again, thanks for your effort!

You are very welcome. It is in poor shape, but can be read. Because it is so fragile, I do not do rubbings or chalk, etc. It was quite overcast today, and the marker is under a tree, so sunlight was not an option. The inscription is: WORLEY E JONES/BORN/APRIL 1843/DIED/MAY 10 1873 I'll put up a locator photo for you. The burial ground is by the church, but it is extremely rural - quiet peaceful and pretty, actually. Hope that helps. Gordon

I see you took off the request for Worley Jones. There was no marker for him there, but there was an empty spot to the side of Jane Jones. These concrete markers put there by the funeral homes disintegrate and Jane's is loose from the ground and it will not be long before it is broken. Also same problem with the Loyd's markers as you will see when I get those photos downloaded.

Your frustration is a common one. I hope it gets better. Find A Grave was just bought out by Ancestry at the end of Sept. I understand it will be business as usual at least for a while. I was told by one volunteer that they are way behind in editing. She said that she has 20,000 on her list to do, but she works on a list that is also worked on by others. For the most part they are volunteers, so it gets done when it gets done and that could be a long wait for something to get edited. Most of my family is buried in this one county in IL and one lady maintains most of them and she will NOT answer me at all! It drives me nuts! I will say that most editing does eventually get done.

Good luck getting TN Breeze to make a transfer. She doesn't have internet service 2/3 of the time and then she doesn't answer me. She used to be real good.
Why don't you just put in a request for a photo of Jane's parents. It is easier for me when taking the list off the computer.

I added Jane's death certificate just now with additional information on it. Pleasant Vale is close to me so I will get there soon. It is raining today.
