|Darrell Landrum||Alexander Pamplin|
Sorry to bother you again, but from seeing the date of Mr Pamplin's birth, if he was a veteran of the Civil War, a veteran marker can be had free of charge. The only cost is to place the marker and I am sure you could find someone to place it for you at no cost as well.
|Darrell Landrum||Alex and Martha Pamplin|
Hi Kathie, I see where someone already tried to fulfill the photo request for their graves and found the same thing I did. Their graves are not marked. I did take a photo of the area they are buried and posted it to the memorial.
I went to the cemetery today and I did not see a headstone for Alex or his wife, Martha. There were ones for the Phelps' that are already of Find A Grave.

My apologies. I failed to read the note beside the photo request about David Phelps. I looked in the Diuguid Burial Records under cemetery plots and found the names listed in Range 8 Lot 5 and there is Alex Pamplin listed for burial in 1872. He just wasn't listed on the Presbyterian Cem website spreadsheet for his name and location. I actually need to see if there is headstone for someone in Range 9, so if the weather is not too cold tomorrow I will head over there and see what I can find for you.
Sorry about that.

I was going to try to fill your photo request for Alexander Pamplin, Presbyterian Cemetery in Lynchburg, Va, but he isn't listed on the Plots and Name location spreadsheet for that cemetery. If you know the section location I will be glad to go check for a headstone and take a picture.
Just let me know,

In Lakeview Cemetery, section 51, no stone seen for Charles Phelps, lot 2-4, but sunken stone found for Gladys Phelps, lot 2-5. You may want to contact the cemetery to see if a stone was actually placed for Charles, or if it is hidden from view, as sometimes happens especially with flush stones. You may wish to requests stone[s] be raised. LakeView Cemetery: Telephone: 216-421-2665, Fax: 216-421-2415
If a headstone for Charles is uncovered/placed, please put in another request for find-a-grave photo.

A lot of Vandegrift's are from that area. I am sure there would be a connection some where. Some spellings you could run across are Vandergrift, Van Der Grift, and Van Der Grist. This is my mothers line.
I wont change any thing till we know how to edit.
Thanks again Linda

Would you like me to transfer his memorial to you or just delet it from the second church and resubmit it to the correct one. I want to thank you so much for taking the time to get this photo for me. Thanks Linda Albright
