NO, sorry I am bouncing back and forth, Rober went to live with son Richard in N.Y. while Elizabeth went to live with Creighton in Dallas. A few years later (Under 7) Robert enrolled in the poorhouse of Orange County, N.Y. where he died, while Elizabeth lived out her days in Dallas. It seems Elizabeth got the better end of the deal going to live with the rich son, while Robert went to live with a son with 21 kids, and then went to the poor house. I dont know why the offer of Dallas was not extended to Robert.

The story I've heard was that Creighton Ruxton Skelton disappeared. For over ten years they didnt know where he was. Then one day he returned. He had been in Michigan attending Dental School, then practicing. I dont know the details of how he persuaded his mother to go with him, but, he did. He convinced Elizabeth, his mother to go to Dallas with him, where he had a good career and lived the rest of his life, as did his mother Elizabeth. Iam not sure when Robert died. And I know nothing about his parents Richard and Isabella, but I suspect that is where Sybella came from. We almost named our last child Sybella, but didn't because my son was already named Snowdon.

Hi. Glad to talk to you again. I was going to try and contact you soon. I will send you everything I have collected since we last spoke. I have the immigration records for all the Skeltons, plus the english census of 1841, and 1851, even though they were in the US in 1850, they then went back to England and returned. But I have Robert Skeltons 1841 passage with John Ruxton, Elizabeth's brother. I also have Elizabeth and the children coming over to. I will email them soon. Plus I have Nathans Death Certificate, and Robert Skelton's papers from going into the "poor house" when he was too old to take care of himself and his son xouldnt anymore. If you want I can send the pics of the gravestones, or if you find them on this site, just make sure to enlarge by clicking on it, then hit file in the menu bar and save as, and name it.
