I've been doing Geneaolgy for 30 years. Before that was my Great Aunt Lois who for years did family history. And who helped many Gen. author's with their research. Also her cousin Bernie who did the first Clan MacBean Geneaolgy books. Then corrected, revised and expanded and in the hand's of Dr. Joseph S. Bean. Still being updated even now by Clan MacBean, Inc. since many families are still incomplete. I guess you could say it's a family hobby.|
The photo? From back in the day. Jul 1976 actually. They said I was the first mother (of two) to join the Armed Forces after they finally decided, ok, I guess we gotta. But who believes recruiters? My CO said the same thing so I guess I'll accept it.....anyway, I'm a grandmother now and quite happy about it! Spoil rotten hand back is my motto!
................. I lost my sister Dec 2013 and have not been doing much here or anywhere. I do try to answer messages and such but for now my heart isn't entirely in it. Do forgive if I missed something or wasn't as on top of. In time.

Her Father's name was Col. Edward Hilton, memorial # 54926553. I thought you would probably like to add that link to your memorial.

Thank you for the specific reference, "Plantagenet Ancestry..." Very helpful, especially since we are so prone to assume that royal lineage is correct if it sounds good.

Wow that's amazing that we are related. Had you known Peters Bithers story from his childhood the big events of his life I had mentioned? I would like to take a closer look and figure out if we are first second or third cousins. It's great to meet new people that I never knew were part of my family 😄
|Martin Smith||RE: Daniel Chase|
Nice to meet another cousin, too! Thanks, Paula.

I have found graves lost to time in newspaper between
The Johnson Family of Clarinda had Mr & Mrs Smith from Chicago for company for dinner Wednesday....
Mrs Smith, the blacksmith wife was buried in Braddyville Saturday....
The College Springs Methodist Church Box Supper was a great success raising enough money for their new organ...
History can be funny can't it? Never found what her full name was just the date of burial, too many unmarked graves in this large cemetery. Or anymore on the husband. Someday someone will put our pieces of the puzzles together and go 'GOTCHA!'

I would love to add the Old Swallow Cemetery, but I am not the creator of the site for James lebroke, how can we get it changed

Thanks so much! Would it be too much to ask for his wife and parents? Thanks again!
|B. Leighton||Elizabeth Dudley Gilman|
Do you have a source for the information that she is buried in the Bean Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, ME? I have documented every stone and I am in the process (probably 3/4 done) of photographing every stone, but have not seen her. There are a few stones which I have had to piece together or that are unreadable, so it's not entirely impossible, but the Gilman stones are together and seem to all be intact and readable. I will definitely make it a point to look for her specifically the next time I go there. Thanks.
