|I have been tracing my husband's family history and my own for 30 years and in 2009 a few of the Medley relatives were able to take over the care and upkeep of Sunnyside Cemetery in Jefferson County, Missouri. There are approximately 15-20 Medley relatives buried at Sunnyside as well as many others, about 70 total. This neglected cemetery was of need of major restoration and in the past few years our group has been able to clear some of the trees and overgrowth, put new rock on the driveway, and haul away trash that was dumped there for many years. Hopefully, we will be able to preserve this cemetery for many years to come. Unfortunately, we were too late for Robertson Cemetery, that was vandalized about 2008.|

I am researching my husband's family lines and have more information regarding Elihu S. Tharp. My husband's grandmother is Elihu's sister, Alta Lee Graham Tharp (1896-1976).. I also have a photo (cir. 1910) of Elihu's mother with two of his sisters (Lillie E. Tharp 1893-?) and Alta along with a granddaughter of Eliza's (I'm wondering if this 10 yr old granddaughter could be Elihu's daughter from his first marriage?).
You may want to include Elihu's parents in this listing (or any other info. you feel might be important):
Father: Augustus Whitaker Tharp: b. Oct. 1856, Perry Co., TN d. 1901-1910 in Clay Co., Brown, AR
Mother: Elizabeth "Eliza" Green Graham b. Sept. 1856, Perry Co. TN d. Clay Co., AR?
The 1910 US Fed Census for Clay Co., Brown Township, Arkansas shows Eliza as "widowed" with 2 daughters and a granddaughter (10 yrs old) living with her. I believe these are the females in the photo mentioned earlier.
I would like more information regarding Elihu's first marriage, if possible. I need his first wife's name and any children they may have had. Also, I am trying to find his mother's parents, but I understand that records before 1908 in TN are pretty much non-existent.

I was working in Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs Missouri and noticed you were maintaining Richards wife so after I got Richard done I transferred him to you. It may need some refining.

I was also looking for Trace Creek. I found who I was looking for at Dabbs Cemetery at Trace Creek. I searched but did not see your people online at Lewis County Cemetery website. It would be unusual to only have two people at this cemetery. The death certificate I was looking also said Trace Creek. There are other Tatums at this cemetery. Just a thought.........Kathy
I have transferred this memorial to you. Good luck in your search.

I have made the corrections for Howard and Anna, linked them to their parents and transfered them to you.
Thanks for the additional info.

Brenda, would you like me to transfer Walter to you?
Hello. I have been ill, so excuse me for being tardy in my reply. My gggrandparents are buried there. James Edward Vaughn and Martha Ann (Whitehead) Vaughn = their headstones are the big ones by the road. Now their daughter Agnus Spain has two boys in there. One lived for almost a year, the other one i can not remember. but they are two headstone towards the woods. Agnus is buried in St.francois memorial park. Now as for my uncle, Roy Lynn Vaughn, I asked my dad if we could go see the grave of uncle roy. He told me there wouldnt be anything left to see. but over time he did tell me that it was at the edge of the cemetery. but if you can get a metal detector and searched you might be able to pick up the lid on the old mason jar that has his name dates on it. And I have an other uncle buried there samuel j vaughn. Now he did have a headstone in there, May I ask if you have uptained a list of names I would appreciated it if you would get me a copy I would totally appreciate it. I might find more relatives in there. Thank you. I will help all i can. thank you

Funeral home records have lots of incorrect information in them, as I have encountered in the past. The headstone says age 65, so that is the date I feel most comfortable with using. (until a better source arises, like an obit from a paper of the time) No pre1910 death cert is showing up on the state site.
What is his memorial #, we maintain 63 cemeteries in and around Brown County.
