|Wish I had started doing genealogy earlier in life and asked family about their parents and ancestors. Am real thankful of FAG as it has helped add some proof of accuracy of the info I have in my tree program which is huge over 12,000 families.|
Have you ever wanted to find out a born or death date? Here is a free site to do this. http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html Enjoy!!!
My tree contains some of the following names. Will gladly share info I have. It is always nice when one can find new cousins, etc.

|Johnny A Grumblenot||UPDATE ON IRA & SARAH CARGILL|
Today I have been to the Clerk's office for the Town of Deposit in Delaware County and have answers for everyone except Ira ...
First off, whoever paid for the bronze plaque and attached it, didn't dig very deep to find the correct information to put on the plaque.
The data used by you to create the memorial for Sarah is correct. Sarah Elvira Cargill daughter of Richard Cargill was born on 17 Nov 1848 and died on 19 May 1896 in Deposit, Delaware Co, NY of Pulmonary Tuberculosis, aged 47 Years 6 Months 2 Days; according to the Deposit Town Clerks Records and she buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, burial permit on file.
Mabel's memorial is correct according to the burial records at the Deposit Town Clerks Office.
Violet Eleanor Cargill was a daughter of Ira & Sarah and was born on 10 Jul 1893 and died on 13 Nov 1893 in Deposit, Delaware Co, NY aged only 4 Months 3 Days also of Pulmonary Tuberculosis according to the Deposit Town Clerks Records and she buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, permit on file.
Since Ira supposedly died in Guilford, Chenango Co, NY, the death certificate would say where he was buried. There is however no burial permit on record for him with the Deposit Town Clerk or the cemetery, but that doesn't mean he isn't there. Many records were damaged in the flood of 2006, especially those written with blue ink.
If you can validate Ira's data, I will look into having Ira's, Sarah's and Violet's data added to the other three sides of Mabel's monument.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hello Ty ...
Could you please tell me where you got the information that lead you to create the memorials for Ira Polk Cargill and Sarah Elvira Potter.
I was just in the cemetery for four hours today cleaning and photographing more stones and I went to the Cargill stone to verify what I believed to be true. There is no stone for Ira or Sarah. The diminutive obelisk on which someone has recently affixed the small bronze marker only has Mabel on it. The other three sides are completely blank and no sign that there was ever any inscription on them.
I am working with the Caretaker and Board of the Cemetery to get all the records computerized and on Find-A-Grave. We have entered all the burials we have records for and find no record or mention of them. I'd appreciate any documentation you can provide so we can update our records.
I will check tomorrow with the Town Clerk of Deposit and see if she has any record of burial for either of them.

Hello again Ty. I have a Rev. T.J. Stone (1855-1903) in Youngsville Cemetery. Is he any relation to your Stone family? I can not find any info on him.

My pleasure. I actually found it by accident and remembered seeing a request for it.
I'm happy I could help you out :)

Thanks for the message and you're very welcome. I also found the Cargill gravestone in the same cemetery and will post it. The original marker has been replaced by a newer one and there is no date of death on there for Sarah Cargill.

If there are others you would like to manage and update - just let me know. That little cemetery is Chaseburg is a very nice cemetery. It is old but well maintained. It is a peaceful place.

I was able to get the two photo;s you requested, Mary Macumber & Mildred Cowan. Please check out the photo's and let me know if they are acceptable. If you would like them taken any different way, please let me know and I will go back and do it. Suprisingly they were quite easy to find and are only about 100 feet from each other.

Thank you so much for photographing the gravestone for me. She is one of my ancestors. How was the gravesite condition and how was the condition of the cemetery as a whole? Was it maintained, or neglected? I hope her headstone wasn't too hard to find!
