Hi have been an avid cemetery buff all my life. Love findagrave and love taking photos. Neat to put two of my hobbies together. --Kim

So sorry Kim, I don't know the location.

This is my husbands line.

Lucinda R H "Sindarilla" (Summers) Bryson is his 1st cousin, three times removed, buried at Duggin Cemetery.

RE: Oleta Carten
I'm happy to help out newbies. I was there once and I'm still learning, but thankfully some people gave me helpful hints along the way. So I try to pass it on to help others.

I do take photos, but I live in Texas but my roots go very deep in Anderson County, Tennessee. My 3greats grandfather, Azarial Herrell, was minister at Zion Baptist (south of Clinton) for 47 years around the turn of the century (1900, that is) and so I spent some time back in 2010 photographing in the area. Also I own several books on Anderson county cemeteries and have added records from that info as well as other copied material from libraries.

I found the Findagrave website about 4 years ago and finally found a place for all the material that I have gathered over the past 50 years and enjoy sharing that info with others because I, too, live a long way away from the Midwest where most of my family was from. So I rely on the generosity of other Findagrave members who will go out to the cemeteries to take photos.

There are several very active photographers in the Anderson/Knox area, so do, by all means, send in those requests and maybe you will get lucky and have a marker that is actually still there and readable.

You can contact me directly at and I'd be happy to pass on some other bits of Findagrave helpful hints that I've found along the way.

Happy to help you and hope you enjoy the Findagrave website as much as I do.

RE: Oleta Carten
That's why I usually recommend using the "edit" feature on the record page. It creates a direct link to the record and then there's no question about name or number being typed correctly. It also allows you to keep a copy of your request so you can check up on whether the request was done. And, for transfers, it also gives your member number. So kills several birds with one stone, so to speak.

John Jacob / Capt John Jacob
Have you been able to confirm that John Jacob who was married to Anne Cheney is the same person as Capt John Jacob. John Jacob is my 7th Great Grandfather but we have not been able to comfirm this connection. Everything we can find was that John Jacob was an indentured servent who came to America. After he finally worked off his indentureship, he proved up on 50 acres and then married Anne Cheney. Do you have any type of records showing otherwise.

Thank you
