|Jim||Hows the weather there?|
Hi Lee, Hope all is good with you and yours. We are OK here, a little rain (finally) but not enough to lower the drought fears. May not be able to irrigate the grove this year, will know by the end of the month.
Take care, Your west coast cousin, Jim

|Tavenner||Eli M Russell in Greenlawn Cemetery|
The headstone photo you placed on memorial # 81153279 is for a different Eli Russell.
Eli M Russell (the memorial page) was born 14 Apr 1876. He was the son of William Alexander Russell and Margaret Delmar Hearne, and the husband of Virdie Louelle (Henderson) Russell (1878-1942).
The photo you took belongs to (I believe) an Eli H Russell, who was the son of Henry Russell and Frances "Fannie" (Blaylock) Russell, and the husband of Patty L (Austin) Russell. I don't think he has a memorial page set up yet, but I found his death certif which shows dates and info that are very close to your headstone photo dates. His death certif lists b. 13 Apr 1871 and d. 25 Oct 1936. The birth year is off by 2 years, and the death month is off by 2 months, but the wife's name, parents names and locations all match up.
On the Eli M Russell I'm looking for, the death date info might be wrong? I found it in another family tree, but I haven't found a solid source to back it up yet. His wife (Verdie L Henderson Russell) died before him and is buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, according to her death certificate.
There's several different Eli Russell's all born and/or died around the same years in that part of NC. I'm hoping that his headstone will be found next to his wife's, and will give me a verified death date. If he's not found anywhere in Greenlawn, like the other tree stated ... I'm guessing he might be buried in Center Cemetery, Montgomery County, NC ... where his parents and many of his siblings were buried.
Anyway, could you please remove the photo from Eli M's memorial page?
Thank You very much for taking and placing the photo to begin with. I really appreciate your time and effort!
And of course ... if you're ever in Greenlawn again, please keep an eye out for Virdie L and Eli M Russell's headstones.
Thanks again for all the help and have a great week.

That's the fastest I've ever had a photo request fulfilled...the same day that it was requested. Thank you for your prompt action. If these people are related to you, I'll be glad to transfer management of their memorials to you.
