|J.F. Reed III||Reed Round Robin|
I've been absent from looking/working on Reed genealogy for at least 15 years. I was one of the 5-6 folks that participated in the Reed Round Robin with Johnita in the late 1990s. Judi Swanson (Iowa) and others that I don't remember looked forward to receiving the next batch of info.
I'm really glad that I found this site and that you have encouraged and continued work on the Reed clan.
I've been looking at Ancestry.com - and finding a lot of misinformation. Back in 1995 (or so) as far back as any of us (mainly Johnita) could trace the Reed bunch was to a James Reed (1720-1774)/Mary Downing (1725-1817). Some hints of this James father being another James Reed (1690-1757) with an unknown spouse. Has there been any additional documented progress going back further?
Guess I had better list my ancestors: Job Reed/James Sydney Reed Sr/James Sydney Reed Jr/James Fonda Reed Sr/James Fonda Reed Jr/and me - James Fonda Reed III.
And, are you still in living in the Sunflower State?
J.F. Reed III

Thanks for leaving a comment.
Mary Ann James Moss was my grandfather's grandmother. My mother was Hazel Ann Moss.
I have been searching the court houses in the county where they have lived and have a little information on the family and really eager to learn more. I would love to know all you have on Grandmother James' family. Please send all that you have - please.
Patrick Jackson Moss had a very interesting record that much has been recorded.
In his father's will, his father stated that he wanted to give Patrick Jackson Moss $100.00 more than his equally divided share because he said that it would take that much to make him equal to the others, lol. I don't really know what that meant, but it must have been a compliment of some sort.
I look forward to talking to you soon!

Thank you so much for the info. I've seen both Davis and David in various census reports so that helped clear things up(?)! I've found many more Cattersons in Pennsylvania.
