Hello all! I live in Atlanta, but am on find-a-grave researching my maternal ancestry lines.|
My maternal grandmother is a Russell from Stanly County, NC. I am a great grand-daughter of Jessie William Russell and his wife Ollie Lee Huneycutt, both from Stanly County, NC. Our immediate (within 2 generations) family lines are Russell and Honeycutt. Further back we have Walters, Hinson, Lowder, Hill, Burris and Rummage among others. All centered around Stanly County.
Also on the grandmother's line are Staffords In Cheraw, SC.
My maternal grandfather is a Hefley from Webbers Falls, OK. I am a great-granddaughter of James Hefley and his wife Frances Lucille Hefley, both of the Webbers Falls area. My immediate (within 2 generations) family lines are Hefley and Poteete. Further back I have Gatlin, Marrow, Rainwater, Bearden, and Singleton.
I've successfully traced my Hefley lineage back to 1715 in Baden-Wurtemburg. My German ancestor married a Kern, also from Germany. I can trace my Kern lineage back to 1664 in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.
I'm also interested in my husband's Orr/Whaley and Cotter/Burns ancestry.

I just saw your message about George W. Russell and Sarah C. Walters being your great great grandparents.
I went ahead and transferred their memorial pages over to you, since you're more closely related than I am.
My tie is through their son Travis. His daughter Agnes' husband is a 2nd cousin of mine.

Thank you for adding the photo of Solomon's grave marker. In researching my husbands family, I have found a connection to this family line. Thanks again!

Would appreciate the transfer as that is my husband 4th great grandfather. Thanks so much.

Enjoyed it too! let me know if I can help more if something else comes up once you get back to Atlanta. Glad we went on Saturday, Sunday was kind of cold and rainy.
Hi - Nice to meet you! I have transferred him to your management so that you can make him a better memorial. We have a very distant "connection". My grandfather Millard "Junior Huneycutt" is the great grandson of Ambrose Huneycutt. I have been working on linking up all of the Huneycutt's that I can find in the area. I forgot that you listed his parents, now, if you know where they are buried you can link them up. You now have access to edit his whole page. I see you are new to find a grave, please let me know if you have any questions. I enjoyed seeing the photos that you added, it really makes the memorials so much nicer!
