Thanks for the flowers you left at my parents memorials.
Christine O. Beyler, is Christine O Wilson Gildersleeve Beyler. She is you great grandmother, your grandfather Bob's mother. I've been able to track down many of her relatives. Her mother, your great great grandmother, has a memorial on Find-A-Grave. It is #91358583. Her Husband, your great great grandfather, is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Bradford too, but isn't in Find-A-Grave yet. Your great grandfather, Clifford E. Gildersleeve (your grandpa Bob's real father) is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Bradford alongside your grandfather's brother who was 8 when he died. There is not Find-A-Grave memorial for them yet. I plan to make one soon.
Thought you'd like this info. I'll let you know on Facebook when I make the memorials.

I stumbled on it while doing a family tree using Family Tree Maker and Ancestry.com. When you click on a link for someone in your tree, it will list the Find a Grave link if there is one. I did that and it took me to a listing that was posted by a relative on my mother's side of the family. I've found all kinds of info, especially when folks post obituaries and photos.
I'm sorry about your grandfather, my Uncle Bob. he was adopted by my grandfather. His father's name was Gildersleeve, and apparently there was some kind of family dispute. Uncle Bob passed away before I could find out any details. I made a posting on Find a Grave for his mother, your great grandmother, Christine Beyler. There's a photo too of the marker. If you have access to a photo you could add it. I've been researching the Gildersleeves, your blood relatives, for my family tree. I've found out a lot of information on a lot of them. The only one I can't find is your great grandfather, Clifford E. Gildersleeve. I'm going to ask your grandmother after some time passes. I'm sure she'll help fill in some of the blank spots. I'm one of your grandmother's Facebook "friends". I've checked you out from her page. Also your posting for your dad. It was very nice.

Would you happen to be the grandson of Robert and Shirley Beyler, of San Jose? I thought I saw a Dylan Beyler listed on Shirley's Facebook page. Might that be you?
Bob and Shirley are my aunt and uncle. My grandfather, Raymond Beyler adopted Bob back in the '50's.
I was shocked when Shirley broke the news about the stomach cancer.
ps how active in the Find a grave program are you? How about Genealogy?

Helen Haley Beyler was my grandmother. Are we related?

Sorry...I just got in from Arkansas...the name you sent (both Watson and Rivers surnames are not recognizable....) I may have searched for the name but there have been so many that I don't remember..and I delete everything when I can't find a name in a cemetery close to my home...I don't travel to Clarke or the counties that surround Monroe...sorry, but I just plain don't remember.
Is the grave in Monroe County, AL. If so, I will attempt to help but we are leaving very shortly for New York.
