You mentioned that this cemetery is "off the beaten path". Yes, it sure is, but it is one of the most beautiful (slightly rustic) and peaceful cemeteries I've seen; I'm really glad I had the chance to go find it! If you've never been to it and you have the chance to visit it, it's worth an afternoon and a picnic lunch to go and visit those who've passed. Unfortunately, though, there are many stones that need repair and cleaning. The next time I visit, I'll need to take the materials to do gentle rubbings in order to document some of the stones. I nearly overlooked Sarah Wilson's stone--it's close to being unreadable. Her age at the bottom of the stone was the only thing that made me confident I had the right marker for her.
