I personally feel that the crest is a most welcome addition. Thank you for removing the personal pictures it is most appreciated.

I see you have removed the other pictures.
Please remove the Crest as well. I prefer not to display these things on my Memorials. They are generally of no value or authenticity, strictly something the family has paid good money for but not of any genealogical value.
You are NOT on a public board.
There is no such thing as a "public" board on findagrave - just personal Profile pages.

No offense, but you are posting on our personal profile page. Your message should be placed on the page of the person you are addressing or use their personal e-mail address.
Please, no more messages to us regarding this matter.
This "finny" individual has sent me another message that I assume was intended for you.
Wish she would learn to contact the right people!

I'm sorry that you feel hurt and upset about this situation. My mother was not unaware of her relations in Canada as you seem to think. She visited her brother and his family in Mississauga on a couple of occasions and she attended his funeral when he passed. I was with her on one of her trips as well. Since you seem not to know any of this information, I am left wondering what your connection actually is to my mother's family. Also, since you have a wedding photograph to post it would seem self-evident that my mother had sent it to her brother on the occasion of my marriage. How could she have done that if she did not know that she had family in Canada?
I would prefer not to have personal family photographs posted on the internet and I respectfully request that you remove them. Thank you. I will check back in the next few days and I hope to see that they are gone.
Just to give you the "heads up" - I received the followning message from somebody using the name "finny"
Since you posted the photos there is nothing I can do for her (not that I really want to see them removed). I expect she will also be contacting you.

I stumbled upon your website and found an image of my parents grave. I also found personal photos of my mother & grandfather and of my wedding day. These photos were posted without my consent and I do not feel comfortable with them being up. I would be very grateful if you would please remove them. The photo of the headstone is ok, just the personal pictures are not.

I totally understand! Yes, it is a shame she did not know about family near at hand. Unfortunately, this seems to happen so much in life.
I did a quick look but was unable to locate any obits in the local papers.
There are only two funeral homes in Abbotsford, B.C. - Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home and Woodlawn Funeral Home. Both are online.
Perhaps you might contact them to see if either took care of the funerals or arrangements.
Best of luck to you and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

So the last name is Bernatowicz ?? You did not mention that. No wonder I was having a problem finding the memorial. I have almost 5000 memorials posted, mostly from cemeteries within Canada but a few from other countries as well.
Well, if you read the notes on this website you will find the explanation of what findagrave is all about. Basically, recording info from gravestones before it is lost to time and erosion.
I was raised near a cemetery and used to go there often to visit my grandfather's grave. While there I would read other headstones and would wonder about those people, and I found it a very peaceful place to be. That was a very old cemetery and some stones were no longer legible, either due to natural causes or abuse and I always felt so bad the information on them was gone forever.
Now much older and involved in genealogy, I began searching for my ancestors in various cemeteries across Canada. Began posting my findings and pics to findagrave and continuing to record and take photos in cemeteries, as time allows, began a habit. Hazelwood happens to be near my home, relatives and friends are buried there and when I have time I visit and take photos, enjoying peacefulness found there.
I don't have time this evening but as soon as I can, I will investigate further for you. This is a local cemetery so I shall try to locate obituaries. These usually reveal further information that may help you in locating other family members.
