Harmon Terrill family - fairfield

Thanks for the pictures. Interestingly, middle daughter Ellen Orpha married into the Hinchey family in Gates. Her home on Hinchey Road is now the headquarters of the Gates Historical Society.

RE: Adams family

In the 1910 census Carrie Rann was still on the farm, living with her aunt Eliza A. (Terrill) Keyes, your memorial #161021508 (her mother had died that January). By 1920 she had moved to the house in the village. There is a nice Windsor chair in our family that is said to have come from Vermont, left by Carrie to Minnie Adams.

Adams family

If you look at the 1872 map you see J Adams on lot 49, on that little road along the creek that is now a hiking trail in the park. My mom took me there once to see the cellar hole. The old Niles place (now Springdale Farm) is lot 63. On the 1924 map you can see Milo, Elmer, Myron, and Earl Adams on lots 62, 63, and parts of 49 and 75. I have some old photos of the house on Hubble Street if you are interested.

Thanks again for your photos.

RE: High Street cemetery Kimballs
Thank you again, Donald! What nice photos you take! I especially appreciate the close-ups if the stone inscriptions, since reading the detail on these old stones can be challenging!

Thanks, too, for the information about Helen Kocher and husband's name. I did not know she was married and did not have a date of death. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find records yet on, but at least I now have clues to work with.

Maple Grove, Dewey Road

I didn't make the requests so I never got notified, but you seem to have photographed the stones of about half a dozen of my relatives over the winter. Henry and Amanda Smith, for instance. I really like the light dusting of snow on the Luther and Naomi Dewey stones.

Thank you.

I am the granddaughter of Eugenia and I am wondering where you found the wonderful photo of her. Thank you,

Methodore Stone - East Sweden Cem.

Thank you so much for finding the fragment of that old gravestone. I suppose the other pieces are strewn about under the grass or tossed into the corners of the cemetery. Your photograph may have just rescued that monument from obscurity.

I have family Bible records for Sarah BRIGHAM (not Bingham) and it is very clear that she died April 15, 1844. I agree that Samuel BRIGHAM should be April 7,1777. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for the photo of Samuel Brigham. I have been working on the Adams family (he married Sally Adams) for decades. When I was at the cemetery years ago I didn't know her husband's name. It is a good thing you do for folks like me who are on the opposite side of the country.

RE: Bruce Kevin Clark
Hi Don -- Thank you for your reply.

Yes, please let me know if there is change in his marker status. That would be great.

On the plot information should I add the GAR information in there? Or just VII-A?

Yes, I understand about the snow. Not a problem in my neck of the woods. We can only hope to get some snow. Any precip is welcome here :)

Thank you again! -- Laurel
