Highland Cemetery/Old North Burying Ground, Ipswich, Mass.
Eileen,

I know you are new here so just to make you aware, you may request management of Eddie's memorial if you'd like from the creator by telling her you are his sister. Then you can add anything you like including photos, information and such. You can do your whole genealogy on here! I am not really on here for personal memorials. I am coming into this from a photography, Massachusetts founders research, history preservation in photos- angle. I like the research and the adventure going out into the old burying grounds around here.

In case you'd like to check out what we are working on at present, here is the link:

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GRid=35816761&CRid=91075&

Or you can search "cemetery lookup" at left in the menu for Highland Cemetery, Essex Co., Mass. We have been working on it since July and I have taken thousands and thousands of photos, done research on these Puritans and their descendants, and almost done there. I was taking about 800-1,000 digital photos each day I went. We also did Wenham Cemetery where I did the old burial ground tour for the museum at the fair in 2010 and many other old burying ground from Salem north to the NH border.

I have virtual cemeteries set up on my page with some of my fav Puritan gravestone art and epitaph I have transcribed (a fraction of them). ~ Enjoy the site!

RE: Old Cemetaries
Hi Eileen,
If you read my Bio I speak about my grandparents liking to take me to cemeteries and I loved going to check out the epitaphs, etc., [and have carried that hobby my whole life], I was talking about your former neighbors across the street. The reason I remembered Eddie is because I was young when he died and the way my grandmother was crying about it when she told me left an impact on me being so young I guess. I was still at the age when I thought only older folks died. That's why I never forgot. I lived over in Manasquan Park near Allenwood but was friends with George, Jill Amzler, the Zeimetz', etc. you may remember some those names from Fairview.

RE: New Picture
Hi Eileen,
I did not take the other photo, someone else set up the memorial. I have done very little work on here outside of Essex County, Mass. I grew up in Wall. I just remembered when Eddie died because he was friends with my Uncle Gary and my grandparents used to take me to his grave as a kid. They are gone now too. I remember him always being the upbeat one and I was only a kid of course back then. I hope you'll enjoy this site.
Take care Eileen.

Hi Eileen
You probably don't know me. I was a childhood friend of George. My grandparents lived right across the street from Eddie and George and I always wondered what happened to George since. I guess it's been since about 1977 since I've seen him. Time flies.
