I greatly appreciate the effort of so many people to document grave records and memorials. I have found great joy in connecting with my family who have passed even if by means of the sight of a simple stone and in helping others do so. There is a solid feeling..a continuity...that is comforting and encouraging which is gained from attending those who came before and whose blood we share. I hope to help the effort as much as I am able. Thanks to you all. As to my bio, I enjoy sailing, motorcycles, cabinetmaking and genealogy.I know my fathers' fathers for 320 years back, but have taken greatest reward in finding out through research my own father's story of his youth-he having passed away when I was young. I owe much to people like those contributing to Findagrave. Benjamin L. Manifold | |

 | RE: Carlos Ward transfer I'm not related to him either so why don't you hold on to it until a relative comes along and requests a transfer. | | | Claire
 | RE: Seven Mile Springs Cemetery (Hadley ) Thanks much for all this assistance. Hopefully we can get this one recorded before too long.Added by Claire on May 07, 2013 2:03 AM | | | Claire
 | RE: Seven Mile Springs Cemetery (Hadley ) I don't think that Billyjoejimbob started the cemetery page. He did ask for the photo requests, but the pages were set up in August of last year and one (John Hadley) was set up back in 2009. I would think that the person who set up the John Hadley page is the one who set up the cemetery. To add John to the cemetery, they would have set up the cemetery. I think you would have to contact them to have them change the location and add coords on the map. We are going to be going to the cemetery within the next week or so and will send you some coords.Added by Claire on May 06, 2013 5:46 PM | | | Claire
 | RE: Hadley Cemetery property owners Gosh Larry! Thanks for all this help. I've forwarded this info on to our friend in Lottie. Here is her reply:
I've talked to Mr. Nip Hadley. He went along with the Mr. Dean who wrote the info that has been widely circulated. He said there really were no grave markers with names now. The directions are fairly accurate. I thought I might go with him and see for myself if there are any names on the markers. Then, if ya still want to go, I'll ask his permission to take ya.
So, we'll see what happens. We'll let you know since you've been to interested and helpful.Added by Claire on May 03, 2013 6:04 AM | | | Vicky Weaver
 | RE: Mary C. Parnell Yes, They were husband and wife. I posted a comment on Mary's memorial giving you the names of her spouses and parents. The memorial for her first spouse is # 29403297 - Isaac Bufkin Hamilton (my great-uncle) if you are able to connect them. Thanks so much! | | | Vicky Weaver
 | Mary C. Parnell Thank you very much for the photo. Much appreciated! | | | Claire
 | RE: Seven Mile Springs Cemetery (Hadley ) Hi Benjamin,
Thanks for sharing this with us. We are trying to get permission from the landowner or the cemetery trustees to be able to get this cemetery recorded. We have a friend up Lottie way that has been contacting people to try to set up a visit there but so far we've not been able to get it set up. Now we've gotten all this rain it may have to wait even longer. We'd love to get it done in the next week or so.Added by Claire on May 02, 2013 3:30 PM | | | Pat
 | RE: Marion Stocum Wetzel photo No, no other Wetzels at Buxton--I've been through the cemetery several times. If you think your relative may be buried in Bedford, NY, you can email the town historian via the Bedford Historical Society website. He seems to have record of where people are buried in all of the Bedford cemeteries. Good luck!
Happy to be able to help out.Added by Pat on Apr 27, 2013 6:51 PM | | | Pat
 | Marion Stocum Wetzel / Buxton Cemetery Only found one other Stocum in this cemetery (Emma Jones Stocum); no other Wetzels. Marion is buried in a plot with members of the Jones, Bennett, Cox, Derby, Flewwellin and Stilwell families. Don't know if this is helpful in figuring out any relationships between them!Added by Pat on Apr 27, 2013 6:36 PM | | | Sue Tanner
